As Amr interrogates lawyer Fatma about her relationship with lawyer Othman, she recounts their old rivalry in a case in front of the prosecutor and her lover Yasser, after which she applied to work with Othman.

Othman reprimands his secretary for thinking that she got rid of the file of Fatma and not his son Asim. Walid gets swindled. Fatma goes to help Awad on the night of her engagement to Yasser.

Fatma begins her job with Othman despite Asim's objection. Yassin turns to Fatma to recover land that was stolen from him. Anis arrests Amir and El Wahsh for possession of drugs.

Fatma tells Amr about Asim's quarrel with her because of being better than him and winning a drug case, and also about Asim's threats to Suzy, and her discovery of Hassan's giving Shaima a scandalous video of Othman.

Fatma recounts taking Othman to the hospital as he fell into a coma after getting exposed in the papers, after which Asim took over the management of the business and fired her, and that Asim teamed up with Hassan.

Fatma talks about her escape with Awad to her uncle Samir's house from the office after losing her phone there in order to find evidence of her innocence, and about Anis's arrival at her uncle's house.

As Fatma goes back on the run with Awad, they ask for his sister's help, without knowing that her husband works with Hassan, the enemy of Othman.

Fatma recounts her mediation between Shebalo and Awad's sister, and her anger at Shaima's article about her, while Anis contacts Shebalo to arrest Fatma.

After the police find the murder weapon in Fatma's office, Yasser intensifies his investigations with Sherine, Othman's secretary, as he suspects her. Fatma discovers that there is a relationship between Suzy and Hassan, while she pays Shebalo to keep her secret.

Sherine is killed after Yasser contacts her. Fatma is distressed as rumors spread of her having an affair with Othman. Yasser's situation worsens in the case. Shebalo invites Hassan and Suzy to his sister's wedding.

Fatma kidnaps Suzy to interrogate her, but the latter escapes. Amr discovers that Abdel Rahman was in Asim's office on the day he was killed. Yasser is referred to investigation because of his meeting with Fatma.

Fatma admits to Amr that the message she carried from Othman to his son concerned the existence of files condemning Hassan, and that the latter promised to smuggle her after handing over the file. Awad falls ill after Fatma and Shebalo return to Cairo. Yasser submits his resignation.

Fatma continues telling her story after Yasser discovers from Abdel Rahman that reason for his visit to Othman's office was to seek secret legal advice for his family. She talks about Yasser's refusal of her escaping abroad as she gave him Hassan's file.

Yasser starts blackmailing Hassan after obtaining the file. Fatma and Awad flee to Sharqia. Yasser cooperates with Shaima in his investigations.

Fatma narrates to Amr the extreme poverty that she found the villagers suffering from and their selling their children. Yasser follows a lawyer named Radwa who works in Othman's office, and who became pregnant with an illegitimate baby by Asim.

Fatma continues her story as Yasser gets Radwa's confessions against Asim, and Fatma's intervention in the case of child trafficking in the village.

Yasser assigns Shaima to leak Hassan's corruption files. Fatma helps Walid after he intercepts the gang. Anis goes to Sharqia to arrest Fatma.

Anis arrests Walid, who confesses on the gang members, while the gang kidnaps Shaima after she refuses to cooperate with them in exchange for a bribe.

Shebalo helps Shaima escape from the clutches of the gang. Yasser hands Hassan his files in exchange for information about Hiyam, Sherine's sister. Anis discovers Fatma's hideout from Shebalo.

Fatma and Awad hide in El Wahsh's house. As Shaima and Walid testify in the child trafficking case, they discover that the gang is selling children's organs.

Yasser blackmails Jojo over his relationship with Suzy and Sherine, and Suzy tells Yasser her arrangements to get Hassan's file from Sherine.

As Yasser frees Fatma from Anis's grip, he gets arrested, while Awad fails to find Fatma.

It's revealed that Amin stole Asim's money after finding his body. Yasser searches for sources to help him while being in prison. Anis watches Fatma's house while Awad is hiding there.

As Fatma returns to her home, she tells her family about a dream in which Othman told her that the key to her innocence is in a book she has.

Yasser discovers that Amin worked in the past for the prisoner Dahi, and that the latter tried to kill Amin in prison. Fatma gets close to the nun Marianne.

Fatma saves Marianne from a car accident. Dahi vows to kill Yasser. As a decision is issued to take Anis off the case, an unknown person calls him to tell him the whereabouts of Fatma.

After Anis discovers the whereabouts of Fatma and Awad, he goes with his boss to the church and tells Reverend Daniel about Fatma's crime. Awad is killed by Anis.

Fatma recounts her discovery of Awad's murder after she escaped. Othman comes out of his coma. Anis arrests Fatma.

Fatma denies killing Asim and Sherine. Hassan offers Othman reconciliation and cooperation. Anis is referred to investigation on accound of his killing Awad, and Yasser finds the real criminal.

As Yasser is released from prison on bail, he discovers that Ahmed killed Asim and Sherine. Ahmed commits suicide after Yasser confronts him. After Fatma is released, she marries Yasser and refuses to return to work with Othman.
