Qawas tries to convince Abdel Mutaal that he suffers from amnesia and asks him to find another name, so he calls him Gerges Boutros. After Abdel Mutaal is released from prison, he learns that his wife, Khadija, sold the house to an actress named Salwa Wahbi.

Galal tells Salwa that Abdel Mutaal Mahjoub died and his body was buried and that the man who told her his story is a liar. Salwa tells Abdel Mutaal that Ghaleb, the new company manager, accused him of embezzling a sum of money six months after his death.

Abdel Gawad tells his friend, Abdel Mutaal, about fraud and forgery operations carried out by Ghaleb, the new company manager. Ghaleb orders his assistant, Salem, to kill Abdel Gawad. Salwa hatches a plan to get information from Ghaleb that will benefit her lover, Abdel Mutaal.

Hafez learns from Ghaleb that Abdel Mutaal stole documents and papers that incriminate him personally. Ghaleb asks Salem to search for the documents in Abdel Mutaal's room, and he brings them to him.

In a flashback, it turns out that Hafez fell for Khadija, Abdel Mutaal's wife, and agreed with Ghaleb to have Abdel Mutaal imprisoned, then he married Khadija and appointed Ghaleb as the company's manager. As Ghaleb claims that Abdel Mutaal insulted him, he has him committed to a mental hospital.

Khadija suspects that her husband, Hafez, is having an affair and tries to find out about it from his office manager, Junaidi. Khadija discovers Hafez's infidelity. Abdel Mutaal escapes from the hospital and goes to Salwa, who rages at him for being away from her but believes him eventually.

Khadija asks for a divorce from Hafez. Boraei betrays Abdel Mutaal in favor of Ghaleb. Abdel Mutaal marries his girlfriend, Salwa. Khadija takes pills and commits suicide after her husband cheated on her.

Finale

Magdy is appointed instead of Hafez, whereupon Salwa tells Magdy the story of her husband, Abdel Mutaal, and asks for his help. Salwa tells Abdel Mutaal that there is hope for his right to be restored after the cabinet resigned, and he tells her that he will name his first child (No).
