It revoloves around the life of a romantic girl who falls in love with a man who is not from her social class. He is poor and his sister sews to raise her son after the death of her husband. This young man's financial standing makes the girl's father reject him and marry her to her wealthy cousin. She marries him, loves him, and has two children with him, but he dies of cancer.
