The series revolves around greed and avarice and their negative effects, through the story of Shams, a beautiful but poor girl who works in a nightclub and is engaged to Ahmed, a guitarist. However, the millionaire Bahjat sets his eyes on her and asks her to marry him. She agrees, believing that she will lift her family out of poverty.
