Shams is a Fresca seller who works on the beaches of Alexandria to support her poor family. Her life changes radically after she falls in love with the journalist Riad, who belongs to a wealthy family. He decides to marry her despite all the family's objections and encourages her to continue her studies again. From then on, she begins a frantic journey to the top.
