As Moshera prevents Hussein from running away from home for feeling underappreciated, Salma informs them of her desire to marry her colleague Maher. When Maher arrives with his mother, she surprises them with an embarrassing request, which disrupts the engagement.

As Hussein keeps the wallet of Tamer, who hasn't paid the coffee shop bill, he visits his grandmother to find out more about him. Hussein's family is surprised by Ahmed's customary marriage to Gamila, who was kicked out from her family's home.

Because of Karim's vulgar way of speaking, Hussein decides to file a complaint to the Minister of Education. Hussein intervenes to speed up Mahmoud and Eglal's engagement. When a new suitor proposes to Salma, Hussein objects because of the age difference between them.

When Hussein forgets Moshera's birthday, their relationship is strained. As she gets angry at him and accuses him of neglecting her, he brings a music band outside her balcony, and they reconcile.

When Hussein offers a service to Hanan, the cafe's customer, she accuses him of kidnapping her, and the police arrest him. Hanan blackmails Hussein in exchange for dropping the charges but her mother intervenes and saves him. Salma introduces a young man to her father as she wants to marry him.

When Hussein takes Moshera to the club, they run into an old fan, and Hussein is surprised by Moshera's sudden change. When Adel proposes to Salma, Hussein refuses because of his obsession with a statue that he calls Aziza.

When Hussein has a dream that Moshera is betraying him, he begins to watch her, only to discover that she is meeting Mansour, who is suffering in his life and needs their help. Moshera helps Gamila during her pregnancy.

After Essam proposes to Salma, Hussein approves of their marriage despite his poverty, with Essam signing checks in exchange for the marriage requirements. Gamila asks Hussein to contact her father.

Hussein is surprised by Sultan's selfishness and how he only cares about money. As Gamila gives birth to a baby girl, Hussein is shocked by the high hospital bill. As Eglal suffers from a bad mental condition and a loss of identity, her family intervenes to help her.

Hussein refuses to lend Essam and Salma money to speculate on the stock exchange. Essam has nightmares about his debt to Hussein, while Moshera grieves because of the lack of communication between her family members.

As Hussein struggles with high prices, he confronts his family with decisions to reduce their expenses and try to rationalize. Hussein bails Ahmed out after taking drugs. After Egal has an argument with a suitor, he leaves her to pay the bill.

As Mahmoud undergoes an operation, the doctor forgets his mobile phone in his stomach. Mahmoud marries Eglal, but he forgets to bring her gold jewelry, which strains the atmosphere. Ahmed and his wife move out of Hussein's house along with Salma and her husband.

As Salma and Essam are swindled after they resort to someone who provides advice to improve life, they return to Hussein's house. Hussein breaks into the office of his uncle, the lawyer Mukhtar, with a fake weapon to stop his involvement in corruption cases.

As Mukhtar plots with Mortada against Hussein, the police arrest him, but Shahid rescues him. Tawfiq turns to Hussein to hire people to attend a seminar that Eglal will hold.

Salma fails to work as a taxi driver. When Hussein finds parking tickets in Moshera's car in the city of Alexandria, he becomes suspicious, but Insgham returns him to his senses. Insgham and Tawfiq get to know each other more.

Hussein helps Insgham after her illness. Awatef is saddened by her celibacy. Shukry visits Hussein's house. Hussein gets Mahmoud in trouble when he ditches a date with his ex-girlfriend, Kariman.

Eglal rescues Hussein and Mahmoud from Kariman. Awatef and Shukry get married. Hussein interferes to wed the waiter Yasser to Howaida. Hussein finds a girl hiding a bag on the roof of his house.

As Hussein talks with Rawiya, he hands her the bag and asks her to stay away from Karim. Hussein discovers Karim's bad manners as he observes their neighbor. Essam suffers while he searches for a new job.

Hussein discovers that Essam has sent letters to the prime minister to ask for his help. Salma asks Essam for a divorce. Ahmed leaves the job as a property guard after discovering that the owner is mad. Tawfiq tells Eglal that he wants to marry Insgham.

As Tawfiq and Insgham get married, Moshera gets jealous of the romance between them. When Salma finds out that she's pregnant, she decides to come to her senses, while Hussein advises Essam to tell her how he feels. Ahmed's family discovers that he works as a delivery guy.

Shukry hires Ahmed to work for him. As Eglal quarrels with Mahmoud when he refuses to tell her the password of his bank account, Hussein intervenes to reconcile between them. Hussein discusses with Moshera the high prices as they try to ration consumption.

Hussein freaks out after he gets an unprofessional plumber who happens to be a womanizer. Hussein's family discovers that Amina chats with people online using fake identities.

Insgham visits Eglal clinic for psychological treatment. Moshera tries to sabotage Amina and Eglal's relationship so that Amina confides her secrets to Moshera instead of Eglal; Hussein objects to that. Moshera continues to snoop on her children.

Hussein is trying to reconcile with his children after he went through their belongings. Hussein gets angry at Moshera after she fires Ahlam because she admires him. Ahmed returns from traveling with Awatef after she suspects that Shukry wants to wed another woman.

Hussein reprimands Karim for wanting to marry an older woman while he is still a student. As the singer Ramadan Abdel Halim tells Awatef that Shukry stole his fiancée from him, he asks to marry Awatef after she and Shukry get a divorce.

Laila ends her relationship with Karim after Hussein reprimands her. Ahmed is looking for a new job instead of working for Shukry. When a thief steals Eglal's car, Hussein's family contacts him to return it. Abbas proposes to buy Tawfiq's car despite Eglal's refusal to do so.

The thief returns the car to Eglal after visiting her clinic. As Insgham, Eglal, Moshera, Gamila, and Awatef team up against their husbands in an attempt to reject men’s control of women, their alliance soon fails.

Awatef asks Shukry for a divorce. As Karim suffers from people describing him as stupid, Hussein advises him to read books. Problems arise between Gamila and Ahmed because of his relationship with another woman.

As Hussein takes Moshera to the cinema, he's surprised by the low level of the films, while a filmmaker quarrels with him. Insgham devises a plan to film home movies to fight vulgarity.

As Moshera gets sick, she's transferred to the hospital; Awatef advises her to take herbs from an apothecary as an alternative to medicine; Hussein confronts the apothecary with his lies.

Hussein submits a complaint to the minister to set a date to celebrate Father's Day. As Moshera and Hussein continue to quarrel, Moshera visits the minister and asks her to make Mother's Day an official holiday.

When Hussein's family travels, they walk into a quarrel between two newlyweds on their honeymoon after the groom hits the bride. As Hussein intervenes to reconcile them, he highlights the importance of communicating with the family before marriage.

As a young man chases Salma to marry her despite her being married, Hussein confronts him. When the father of the bride Zuhur admires Awatef, he proposes to her. Hussein and Moshera continue nagging each other.
