Masoud discovers that Aziz has a second job as a driver. Tafida decides to wed Mahmoud to Awatef when she discovers that Hefnawy has a valuable piece of land. When Hefnawy's maid runs away, he brings Zarifa to replace her but Selim tells her that she will be their guest, not their maid.

When Hefnawy decides to marry Hala, Masoud and Aziz ask him to sell the land and give them the money. Aida is shocked over Zarifa's looks and gruff attitude. She locks her out of the apartment after Selim runs away.

Hefnawy's friend Zaghloul offers him a partnership. Aida agrees to let Zarifa work for her, but Zarifa causes a lot of trouble. Moza's father refuses to allow Masoud to marry her. When Hefnawy proposes to Hala, she asks for a large sum of money to secure her future.

As Hefnawy sells the land, he and Masoud resign from their jobs, but Aziz insists on keeping his out of a conviction that one must work to earn a living. Zarifa fights with a shop owner and they end up in a police station.

The family looks for Zarifa till Mahmoud finds her. Aziz marries Abeer against his family's wishes. After Hefnawy marries Hala, he discovers that Zaghloul has stolen his money. He has a breakdown and gets transferred to the hospital.

The family is shocked to learn that they lost the money. Hefnawy takes back his resignation and returns to work. Aida stands by Hefnawy and gives up her golden jewelry to help him. Zarifa gets a letter from the German Consulate. Mahmoud proposes to Awatef. Aziz asks Masoud to become a driver like him.

When Hala tells Aida that she wed Hefnawy, Aida asks for a divorce and leaves for Aziz's house. When Zarifa discovers that she inherited 15 million dollars from her brother, the neighbors start treating her differently and Tafida tries to convince her to wed Mahmoud.

Aida returns home after Hefnawy falls ill. Hefnawy learns that Hala is suing for alimony. Selim learns about Zarifa's inheritance. Masoud starts working as a waiter as Hefnawy becomes an accountant for a merchant. Zarifa buys a room on the roof.

As Zarifa gets in another fight at a store, she ends up at the police station where she shocks the officer by her transformation. Zarifa falls for Mahmoud but he makes fun of her. Aziz has a financial crisis. Hefnawy divorces Hala.

Hala objects to the small amount of money that Aziz gave her. Selim's family visits Zarifa to convince her to marry Mansour. Awatef and Mahmoud get married as Zarifa gets close to Masoud. Awtef and Mahmoud fight after he accidentally spills some juice on her dress. Awatef and Mahmoud get divorced.

Zarifa visits her village and decides to help improve the infrastructure there. Hefnawy tries to save Aziz from Hala's controlling demands. Aida reconciles Abeer and Aziz as Abeer tries to reconcile Awatef and Mahmoud. Masoud admires Zarifa's charity work.

Masoud proposes to Zarifa. Hefnawy is bruised during a fight between Gawaher and her ex-husband. Aziz thinks that Masoud aims to exploit Zarifa and objects to their marriage. When Hala's mother falls ill, she asks for Hefnawy's help.

Hala informs Hefnawy that she means to marry another. Selima causes trouble for Masoud and Zarifa. Aida stops talking to force her children to resolve their issues. Mahmoud and Awatef reconcile. Aida advises Zarifa to try and change Masoud after their marriage.

Masoud and Zarifa get married despite Selim's attempts to sabotage the wedding, but Zarifa fights with Masoud after the wedding and kicks him out. She gives Selim money and tells him to return to their village.

Zarifa undergoes a makeover to seduce Masoud. Mahmoud decides to leave the country. Aziz and Abeer reconcile. As Masoud's behavior improves, he decides to go abroad to work. Zarifa and Selim partner up on an agricultural project. Masoud sends Zarifa a tape with a promise that he will return to Egypt.
