Mortada returns from abroad after completing his studies, only to discover that his wealthy father has become paralyzed after losing all his property. His father then dies, leaving Mortada without a fortune. His wife and all those close to him abandon him. He later discovers that the reason behind his father's loss was a conspiracy hatched by his father's close friends, so he seeks revenge on them.
