Muhammad forcibly prevents Amina from marrying Khamis, and a problem arises between Muhammad and his son Ibrahim because of this.

Zainab tells Ibrahim about Amina's love for him, while Naseem tries to ruin the wedding. Ibrahim helps the latter escape from the police who are looking for him.

Naseem and Ibrahim attack and kill an English officer, then they hide with the dancer Rabab, who subsequently falls in love with Ibrahim. Naseem returns to Al-Mawardi Street and decides to surrender himself to the police.

Ibrahim returns home and asks Naseem to join him in the agency after his release from prison. Ibrahim decides to have his daughter, Farawla, live with him after his ex-wife remarries.

Abu Naseem dies, and Ghabbashi discovers that Naseem was a thief, not a hero who killed the British. Ibrahim joins a fedayeen group.

Demonstrations erupt, Amina's husband dies, and Zainab asks Ibrahim to marry Amina, but he refuses and agrees to take Umm Farwala back under his care.

Years pass, Farwala's mother dies, Amina gives birth to her son Shaaban, and Ghabbashi marries his neighbor Zahra. Naseem is released from prison and Ibrahim welcomes him with a big celebration in the street.

Naseem and Ghabbashi convey all the information about Ibrahim and his group to Azmi Pasha. As Cairo burns, Muhammad Al-Mawardi contemplates disclosing Naseem's truth to everyone.

Ibrahim quarrels with Junaidi over his involvement in the agency. Zainab insists that Ibrahim marry Amina. Naseem and Ghabbashi continue to gather information about the fedayeen's weapons.

Junaidi refuses to work for the agency, and Muhammad resents Naseem's poor treatment of Junaidi and his relationship with Ibrahim.

Naseem informs on all the fedayeen. Junaidi is shot in the middle of the demonstration, and Ibrahim discovers Naseem's betrayal.

Junaidi dies, the police arrest Naseem, and Ibrahim decides to take revenge on him.

Naseem asks the dancer Rabab to get close to Ibrahim, lure him into her trap, and marry him, while Ihab holds Ibrahim responsible for Junaidi's death.

Years pass, a setback occurs, Ihab works as a journalist, Farawla gets close to Ahmed and falls in love with him, and Naseem is released from prison.

Amina proposes to Shaaban to marry Farwala. Naseem opens an agency and returns to the neighborhood, where Ghabbashi works with him.

Ibrahim is upset by Naseem's actions and his attempt to buy Al-Mawardi's cafe, and Shaaban is angry about Farawla's relationship with Ahmed.

Naseem reveals the secret of Ibrahim's marriage to Rabab. Naseem seeks to become the leader of Al-Mawardi Street after Muhammad's death and challenges Ibrahim to do so.
