Kabour, an old-fashioned man, owns a riad in an area where high-rise buildings have replaced most houses. However, he is determined to keep the riad as it is, considering it a legacy he inherited from his father and grandfather. He has rejected all offers to sell it, ignoring the suggestions of his children, whom he has forced to live with him.
