When Hannah Montana's popularity becomes too much to handle, her father sends her to his hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee where she can take time to reflect on her life.
This title is a musical film adaptation of the immensely popular Disney Channel teen sitcom of the same name. Miley Cyrus is Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana and she is joined by Emily Osment, Jason Earles, Billy Ray Cyrus and other talents. The film was directed by Peter Chelsom and the screenplay is credited to Dan Berendsen. Miley Stewart is finding it difficult to juggle her personal life and her immense popularity as Hannah Montana. Moreover, a petty dispute with Tyra Banks together with the pursuit of an overly eager tabloid reporter serve to push things over the edge. Miley’s single father – Robby – thus forces his daughter to take a trip back to her hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee. The intention is for Miley (or Hannah Montana) to take the time to get a perspective on things. So how then does Robby’s forced intervention work out?
