Selim is angry with how far Ali has fallen. Adel decides to go with his wife to the US to complete his education. When Ali visits Anisa, she rebukes him for how much he has changed. Nazik accuses her new husband of robbing her, causing him to slap her.

Soliman goes to Cairo to reconcile with Zaher after the latter expresses anger. Zohra decides to launch a media project. Soliman asks Zohra to recall her disabled son from Paris to live with them. Nazik decides to sell the building in Al-Helmiya.

Zohra decides to speak to Selim about the advertising agency. Selim and Ali clash over their individual business model. Nagy decides to sell the coffee shop. Nagy talks to Ali about his customs and tax violations and issues him a warning.

When Zaher sneaks into his father's house at night to take his children, Zohra catches him. Soliman disowns Zaher after the latter crosses the line. Sherine and Ali grow close after she interviews him. The factory workers say goodbye to Zeinhoum's coffee shop.

Qamar and Nazik receive anonymous calls about Samasem. Zohra gets in a car accident. Selim Jr. gets treated for addiction. Zohra's accident is suspected to be deliberate.

When Selim Jr. breaks out of the hospital and vanishes, Selim, Nourhan, and Soliman look for him, finally finding him at home. Tawfik Jr. falls under the control of a terrorist group, prompting Ali to try and intervene. Qamar tries to determine if her mother is still alive.

Nagy is saddened that the street no longer bears his father's name. Mostafa is torn as he wants to divorce Hamdiya, who might be going to prison. Nourhan admonishes Selim for his neglect of his son.

Ali visits Sherine to check up on her. When Qamar and Adel have a fight over their mothers, Adel slaps Qamar and promptly regrets his actions. Zohra asks Sherine to exploit her relationship with Ali, but Sherine rebuffs her.

When Adel reveals to Qamar that he read her diaries in which she expresses that she misses Nagy, Qamar asks for a divorce, but Adel refuses. Omar asks Zohra for the address of the institution that houses their son. Selim reveals to Soliman that his partners have sold their shares in the company to Selim.

Selim informs Nazik that her hospital is now affiliated with the construction company in which he is a partner. Adel rethinks his stance in refusing to work with his father. Soliman learns that Zaher was shot.

Soliman rushes to the hospital to check on Zaher. As he tries to determine who shot him, suspicions arise around Zaher's uncle. Ali decides to hire Galal at the company.

Sherine rejects Ali when he proposes to her. As Zohra gets released from the hospital, she is saddened by Ali's reaction to her plan to lure him in using Sherine.

Adel starts to prepare his production company. Roqaya decides to leave her house after she struggles to set the extremist Tawfik straight. Nagy meets his uncle, Allam Al-Samahy.

Soliman's wife is furious with their seductive new maid who tries to seduce Soliman. Selim learns Nourhan's new address in Alexandria. Qamar is visited by an elderly man who claims to be Taher's father, and informs her that Samasem is alive.

Qamar discovers that her mother has lost her memory. Selim thinks about marrying Hamdiya. Selim visits Nourhan and tries to win her back, but she refuses him. Qamar gets kidnapped.

Taher tries to figure out Qamar's location from his father, who deceived and kidnapped her. Abdel Aziz Halawa is investigated for kidnapping Qamar. Selim decides to buy his old factory back once it is put up for auction, but Soliman competes with him. Ali insists on marrying Sherine.

Qamar's kidnappers demand the investigation file from Nagy. Under guidance from the police, Nagy and Adel act on a plan to save Qamar. Assem Al-Salhdar returns from abroad. Galal discovers cases of forgery in Selim's companies.

Selim asks Hamdiya to quit her job. Soliman gets close to his new maid, Fathiya. In an attempt to get her away from the house, Fathiya gets summoned by the police.

Zaher is angry at Soliman for having his children. Selim confronts Ali about his shady financial dealings. On Selim's orders, Galal is appointed as the deputy general manager. Sherine agrees to marry Ali.

Hamdiya decides to quit her job. Selim and Soliman prepare for the auctioning of Selim's old factory. Selim is forced to give up his share in Soliman's company in exchange for the factory. Ali and Sherine get engaged.

Allam Al-Samahy takes over the management of the coffee shop. Selim decides to write Tawfik's house over to Anisa. Nazik's husband puts his hand on her hospital.

Soliman's wife offers Fathiya money to prevent her from marrying Soliman, but Soliman moves first and marries Fathiya. Selim tries to help Nazik retrieve her stolen money.

Galal makes one final attempt to get Ali to stop his illegal dealings. Selim takes drastic measures and fires Ali, but he soon learns that Ali took measures to ensure that he remains in control.

When Selim suffers from a brain hemorrhage, he is sent abroad for surgery. Hamdiya gets poisoned due to her addiction to doctored heroine. She gets transferred to the hospital for treatment before being moved to prison.

Tension rises between Shahine and his in-laws after he casts doubt on his son's paternity. Qamar discovers that Nagy is in love with someone else. Adel meets his brother Ali and tries to figure out what happened to Selim.

Ali tells Adel that he has no rights. Selim survives his surgery. A slip from the watchman reveals Soliman and Fathiya's marriage.

Omar decides to run for the Journalists Syndicate and threatens Zohra to help him win votes. Zaher is shocked when he learns of Soliman's marriage. Soliman tries to mend his bridges with Bessa.

Selim returns from abroad. Adel tries to negotiate with Ali over his share in the companies. Sherine insists on returning to work after her marriage to Ali. When Selim decides to leave the rest of his fortune to Adel, Nourhan, and Selim Jr., he asks Adel to run Al-Helmiya factory.

As Ali and Sherine quarrel over her return to work, he gives her a choice between her work and their marriage. Zaher and Wasifa decide to interdict Soliman, who falls ill. Ali decides to fire Abdel Fatah Sultan.

Adel and Galal gather Al-Badry factory's old workers to start business again. Zohra tries to interfere in Sherine and Ali's conflict. Selim visits Soliman to check up on him. Selim Jr. starts a band despite his mother's objections.

Nagy gets close to bringing Abdel Aziz Halawa down for corruption. As Halawa's fortune gets seized, one of the witnesses against him gets murdered. The house in which Nahed's family lives collapses.

Nagy thinks about marrying his uncle Allam's daughter. Qamar is saddened when she learns about their engagement. Selim decides to stay at his house in Alexandria. Soliman decides to sell his properties to his family, but excludes Zaher.

Zaher decides to return to Egypt and sets his eyes on the inheritance that his children got. Nazik loses it when she learns about Zohra's share in her father's inheritance. Zohra's disabled son dies in Paris. Nazik pays Soliman a visit.

Adel falls for a Palestinian girl. Qamar decides to marry her cousin, who is the brother of Nagy's fiancée. Sa'deya tries to get her money and her husband's from Ali and Halim.

When the members of his terrorist group get arrested, Tawfik tries to hide in Anisa's house. Abdel Fatah Sultan passes away. Assem discovers that his arms deals are going to the Israelis and the Iranians.

Ali gets interrogated and faces charges. Al-Badry group is seized and put under governmental protection. Selim and Adel try to help Ali. Nagy speaks to Tawfik to convince him to leave the dangerous path he is on.

In the wake of Ali's case, the family of Al-Badry finds themselves in a tight spot. Bessa gets released. Faten gets married to her colleague. Adel pursues his dream of being a director.

Soliman discovers that Fathiya was pregnant and that she had a son. Fathiya decides to pursue her rights. Zohra decides to travel with Hazem to Switzerland and marry him.

Assem Al-Salhdar passes away. Kamal Khela gets injured in the attempt on Assem's life. As tension rises between Ali and Sherine, Selim tries to reconcile them. Abbas steals the library's money.

Nagy takes a risk to bring Abdel Aziz Halawa to justice, but he ends up getting killed. Qamar learns about Nagy's death while in Kuwait. Fathiya discovers that Soliman distributed his fortune to his children and grandchildren.

Bessa and his partner launch their business again. Zaher tries to get a portion of his children's money to invest in Bessa's company. Hazem dies in a plane crash.

Nazik has a nervous breakdown after Soliman insults her. Helmy decides to take the fall for Ali's actions in exchange for a million dollars. The Gulf War breaks out while Qamar and her husband are in Kuwait. Nazik and Selim decide to turn over a new leaf.
