When Bou Alioui (Alioui's father) decides to write his diaries, Umm Alioui (Alioui's mother) helps him in that. Bou Alioui joins a classroom with a group of his friends to learn.

Bou Alioui asks El Aidarousi to manage his shop during his travels and gives him a power of attorney, and also asks him to tend to all the needs of Umm Alioui. When he returns, Bou Alioui is shocked that El Aidarousi transferred the ownership of everything to himself and seized his shop.

When Bou Alioui writes in his diaries about women’s jealousy and their suspicion of their husbands on a permanent basis, he quarrels with his wife about this, and she is forced to return to her family’s house, while Bou Mohamad quarrels with his wife Souad because of her.

Bou Alioui writes in his diaries about Umm Alioui, and that she causes many problems between her neighbors and their husbands because of her misguided opinion.

Bou Alioui writes in his diaries about his wife, Umm Alioui, getting pregnant and giving birth to ten twins, and that he failed to receive the rest of the babies. He also writes about how El Aidarousi caused him not to receive a bonus.

El Aidarousi causes problems between Bou Alioui and Umm Alioui when he tells her that Bou Alioui is marrying another woman.

Bou Alioui takes revenge on El Aidarousi by impersonating a dentist and pulling out El Aidarousi's teeth.

Umm Alioui asks her son Alioui to watch his father and find out where he goes, but Bou Alioui discovers the matter and tries to shake him off. He also resents his second wife's behavior, forcing him to wash the dishes and clean the house.

Bou Alioui resents Umm Alioui's constant lying to him, and his second wife's exploitation of him in the housework. El Aidarousi informs Umm Alioui of Bou Alioui's marriage to a third woman.

Umm Alioui resents Bou Alioui's lack of jealousy over her, but he assures her that he trusts her. Alioui requests that his mother arrange for him to get engaged.
