The grandmother's grandson travels to the US. To comfort the grandmother, the grandfather writes letters pretending to be her grandson. He takes in an ambitious young man and a desperate girl into the grandmother's house, pretending to be the grandson and his wife. But then the real grandson appears and demands money from his grandmother.
