In 2005, as the ruling party prevails, Zohra Ghanem becomes one of the prominent figures of the ruling authority, and the party rigs the parliamentary elections with the underground religious group.

Lily Al-Badry returns from Paris, and during a quick visit to Sharm El-Sheikh, bombings occur there. She is accused of having a relationship with a suspected Algerian youth. Safwat receives temptations to stop attacking the regime, which he declines.

A dispute arises between Zaher Ghanem and Adel Al-Badry over the villa in which Qamar, Adel's wife, was staying. Zohra intervenes to resolve the dispute, and Soliman Ghanem begins to cause problems with Soliman Al-Badry.

Lily thinks of doing a small project by selling food on a cart in Al-Helmiya. Zaher runs for parliament for Al-Helmiya district, but is mocked by the people of the neighborhood due to a scandalous video of Soliman Ghanem’s son and Zaher Ghanem’s son that was made public by Selim.

Fathiya refuses to be dragged into the political game by Basiouny. Zohra discovers her husband's collusion against her following a trap set by journalist Safwat, her most ferocious media attacker.

Lily is chased by men asking her to give them a computer, which she denies knowing where it is. Adel's condition deteriorates and his hallucinations about seeing his son Nagy increase. As the dispute between Zohra and her husband Karim intensifies, she asks for a divorce, but he refuses.

Lily admits that a guy named Sufyan is behind the accident that she had. Soliman's apartment is attacked by some Islamic extremists under the pretext of implementing Sharia following a trap in which Soliman is complicit.

Law enforcement men assault journalist Safwat Sultan because of the report he prepared about the government's complicity with the Brotherhood. The sinking of the ferry Al-Salam 98 takes place. Zohra discovers Karim's marriage to Safwat's sister. Tal’at, the husband of Nazik Al-Silahdar, dies.

Karim is forced to divorce Zohra after she pulls some strings. Adel searches for Nazik after Marzouk kidnaps her. Safwat again launches a media attack on members of the government closely linked to the owner of the sunken Al-Salam ferry.

Lily gets involved with the terrorists who planned the Sharm El Sheikh bombings and a series of other bombings in 8 countries, including Egypt. Safwat agrees to cooperate with the regime.

The police release Lily and Soliman after interrogating them. Amir is kidnapped by the terrorist groups that planned the bombings. As the Islamic movement tries to become partners with Fathiya in the educational center, she agrees amid doubts about the Brotherhood’s intentions.

Safwat is accused of withdrawing money from his wife's account, and is threatened by her father for stealing a large amount of money. As Safwat claims that his wife is mentally ill, his father-in-law threatens him with the files he has that prove his corruption.

The police find Nazik and arrest Marzouk, whereupon Nazik is surprised that her husband, Tal’at, is still alive. Magdy decides to attack Soliman.

As Nazik asks Adel to give her a role in the film, he, along with Zohra and his wife Qamar, tries to convince Marzouk to divorce Nazik. Safwat Sultan signs on as the director of the channel. Soliman is arrested, so Magdy mediates to get him released.

Zohra becomes a minister. Tal’at asks Nazik to forgive him for what he did to her, then dies. At the funeral, Zohra and her mother, Nazik, are surprised that Rehab was still Tal'at's wife, which complicates the issue of inheritance.

Safwat's wife asks to remarry him. Magdy tries to apologize to Lily. A clash occurs between Safwat and Karim, who asks him not to interfere with his show.

Adel is taken aback as Mansour Allam demands his right to his father's property, gets acquainted with everyone and tells them the truth about himself and how he was taken captive. Anisa decides to give the café back to Mansour after his return.

Zaher meets with Magdy and Soliman to make them partners in his project. As Gomaa becomes suspicious of Hassan's bag, he arrests him after he threw the bag in a cesspool, while the police arrest Muhammad Aziz.

Zohra hosts a party as her daughter Wasifa requested. She agrees to appear on Safwat Sultan’s show despite Hany's warnings to her. As Toba goes to audition for Adel's film, he admires her acting. Bahira asks Hassan not to tell anyone that Hossam Zohdi is Hisham Farouk's business manager.

Mansour's men raise arms against Zeinhoum and his men while trying to retake the café from Mansour. Safwat embarrasses Zohra on air about the elections, the party, and the Brotherhood. Lily suggests that she take over Al-Badry company.

Esmat offers that Helmy work with him. Qamar asks for a divorce from Adel because of his exploitation of her. Adel and Toba fall for each other.

Helmy warns Nazik that Hany's actions may harm Zohra. Safwat shows a video of a person being tortured in prison by officers. As Zeinhoum devises a plot against Mansour, he pushes Hussein to fabricate an assault report against him.

Safwat is arrested because of the fake video, thrown in jail for a while, then released. Zohra takes Safaa and her grandmother, Wasifa, to live with her in the house after Zaher tries to take Safaa back to the village.

Helmy talks with Karim about the newspaper that he will open and make him its editor-in-chief. Helmy proposes to Nazik. Qamar asks Anisa to talk to Toba to make her stay away from Adel, after discovering that there is a relationship between them.

Zohra is taken to the hospital after suffering superficial wounds as a result of an assassination attempt. Hany tells Zohra that he suspects Safwat's involvement in the matter, while Hanaa sees her husband, Safwat, flirting with Darine.

Zohra kicks Helmy out when he asks her to marry Nazik. Lily asks Magdy to find a job first before asking for her hand in marriage, while Adel proposes to Toba.

As Nabil hands Safwat's computer to the police, State Security arrests him. Safaa travels with Soliman to Lebanon to participate in a singing competition, while he presses Magdy not to get engaged to Lily.

As Lily proposes to Amir, he reprimands her and refuses. Zohra reprimands Wasifa for causing her to be ousted from the ministry. Safwat relinquishes his money and possessions to get released from prison.

A quarrel occurs between Toba and Adel over hearing her talking on the phone with a director. Fathiya falls ill after her husband steals from her. Magdy asks Lily to forgive him, but she refuses. Zeinhoum's condition worsens because of his love for Toba.

Qamar refuses to return to Adel. The revolution breaks out and the youth go to the squares, followed by the Brotherhood. Anisa and Toba die. A warrant is issued for the arrest of Zohra. Omar Suleiman announces Mubarak's stepping down from power between supporters and opponents.
