Suhair, Adham Pasha's daughter, loves her cousin Wasfi without her father's knowledge for fear of tradition. Suleiman is surprised by Suhair's refusal to marry him, and Sami hides his feelings for Samiha due to class differences.

Suleiman's mother is trying to arrange for her son to marry Suhair in order to recover her husband's inheritance that Adham seized. Samiha is surprised by Samer's decision to travel abroad, and Suleiman refrains from revealing the secret of Wasfi and Suhair's meeting to Adham.

Suleiman accepts a bribe from a contractor to improve his social standing. Wasfi complied with his mother’s pressure and promises her not to marry Suhair, who collapses upon learning of Wasfi’s marriage to Hind.

Suhair agrees to marry Suleiman to get back at Wasfi, who refuses to meet her to please his mother. Wasfi gets engaged to Hind, and Sami returns from abroad after obtaining his master’s degree.

Hind marries Wasfi. As Suleiman manages Adham's estate, he succeeds in marrying Suhair, who suffers from his mistreatment after marriage.

Adham agrees to Samiha’s marriage to Sami, the poor university professor. Adham fails to bargain with Suleiman to stay away from his daughter. After Wasfi confesses to Hind his love for Suhair, she leaves the house.

Wadida's mother sees Wasfi's defense of her in front of his mother, and Adham is surprised by Wasfi's mother's pressure on her son to stay away from Suhair. Wasfi is surprised by Suhair's request to mend his relationship with Hind. The doctor reveals to Suleiman the news of his wife's pregnancy.

Adham dies after discovering Suleiman's intentions; Hind dies while giving birth to her daughter; Sami and Samiha get married; Suhair fails to have an abortion and she gives birth to Ahmed.

Suleiman is fired from his job after the discovery of his embezzlement. Wasfi is surprised that Suhair is pregnant for the second time. Suleiman requests custody of Ahmed after Suhair asks for a divorce.

Suhair gives birth to Hanaa after Samiha gave birth to Hossam, and Sami dies. Years later, Fawzi, Ahmed’s opportunistic friend, appears, and Suhair tries to keep Hanaa away from him, while Ahmed discovers his father’s fraud at his work.

Suleiman takes bribes from officials; Fawzi approaches Hanaa out of greed for her wealth; Hanaa refuses to marry Hossam.

As Suleiman succeeds in obtaining half of Suhair's property, he neglects his children for the sake of wealth. Ahmed tries to get closer to Sanaa.

Hossam asks Fawzi to stay away from Hanaa. Ahmed helps Sayed get a job in his father's company. Wasfi is surprised by Suleiman's tampering with the construction materials used for his projects.

Ahmed is surprised by his sister's relationship with Fawzi. Hanaa's family gives in to her pressure and agrees to her marriage to Fawzi, who agrees to sign a trust receipt for Suleiman to accept his marriage to Hanaa

As Suleiman is surprised by the death of his mother, he agrees to employ Fawzi in his company, while Ahmed agrees to work with Wasfi. Fawzi works using Suleiman's way to get closer to him.

A romance develops between Ahmed and Sanaa. Ahmed is surprised by his mother’s help in proposing to Sanaa, while Fawzi exploits Sanaa to get her money.

Hanaa discovers the other side of Fawzi, who agrees to separate from her in exchange for money. Suhair is surprised that Hanaa was involved in an accident that led to her having a miscarriage. Fawzi is arrested on a fabricated charge by Suleiman, and Suhair dies.
