Souad asks her father to mediate with the editor-in-chief of a newspaper so that she can work at it after graduation. She agrees with her colleague Ahmed to get engaged and married before he travels for a scholarship.

Souad's father tells her that Ahmed has been married to another girl, while Ahmed tells her he divorced her before marriage and did not love her. Souad begins her work in the paper, where her journalist colleague Fatma helps her. Ahmed and Souad get engaged, while Saad takes a second wife.

Mona tells Souad about her dissatisfaction with her stepmother for forcing her to marry someone. Maryam complains to Souad about her suspicion of her husband Saad who recently shows a lack of interest in her. Ahmed bids Souad farewell before his departure.

The editor-in-chief asks to marry Fatma, while Souad takes over the running of the paper. Mona tells Souad of her admiration for their old neighbor, Mahmoud.

Souad succeeds in managing the woman's page in the newspaper instead of Fatma. Mahmoud tells Mona of his desire to ask her hand in marriage. Souad is surprised with finding her uncle Saad with another woman, despite his claim to have traveled abroad for a month.

Saad falsely claims that his second wife is his friend's daughter, and Souad thinks of telling Maryam about the matter, but she retreats. Mona's father tells Mahmoud that she is engaged to someone else, while Ahmed gets to know and admire a foreign girl while he's abroad.

Fatma resumes her work at the paper and tells the editor-in-chief that she refuses to marry him due to personal reasons. Mona applies for a job at Mahmoud's company.

Fatma informs Souad of the editor-in-chief's desire to marry her, while Saad tells Samia that he will inform Maryam of their marriage soon. Souad is upset that Ahmed has been busy all the time that it left no time for her since he traveled.

Saad discovers that his wife Samia is pregnant, who calls Maryam and tells her about Saad’s marriage to another woman and that he is deceiving her. Fatma gets sick and Souad takes her to the hospital.

Maryam confronts Saad with his marriage to another woman and he tells her that he wanted to have children; she decides to ask for a divorce. Mona succeeds in her work at Mahmoud's company. Dr. Hassan treats Fatma. Ahmed confesses his love for Jane.

Mousa sees Fatma with Dr. Hassan and thinks that she got married and spreads the word to the paper colleagues. Saad quarrels with the editor-in-chief for Souad's articles that defame him. As Maryam insists on the divorce, Saad asks her for money in exchange for it. Ahmed tells Khalil he wants to marry Jane.

Maryam gets a divorce from Saad, who bargains Jassim, the editor-in-chief, with a year of ads for the paper in exchange for not publishing anything against his company. Mona tries to convince her father to break off her engagement from his wife's relative.

The doctor tells Saad about the difficulty of his wife's pregnancy. Mona marries Mahmoud, who refuses her to return to work after marriage. Jane and Ahmed get married, and Souad discovers about his marriage, while Fatma agrees to marry Hassan.

Samia undergoes a hysterectomy. Mahmoud and Mona's lives change after he neglects her, and his interest in one of the clients in the company, so she asks for a divorce. Fatma is surprised by the request of Walaa's uncle to return her custody to him after her marriage to Hassan.

Souad has an altercation with the new journalist, Salem, because of his opinion of her. Mona is hired in the paper. Walaa's uncle files a custody case and wins it. Saad returns to Maryam and tries to ask her for forgiveness, but she refuses. Hassan leaves Fatma for the sake of her daughter.
