The story centers around an Egyptian family where the father treats his children harshly, leaving them with a sense of cruelty. When the father grows old and divides his land among them for an annual rent so that he and their mother can live off it, the children's behavior changes in fulfilling this obligation, leading to intense events and a storm breaking out.
