Saber is the Minister's driver, but he's struggling to support his family. Amal goes to her father's house following her quarrel with her husband over their lack of money, and her father reproaches her for thoroughly considering abortion.
Maha passes the exams on the contrary to Ali who fails, so his father takes him to work at a mechanic's workshop. Ali, however, causes greater troubles as he takes a client's car and has an accident.
Malek's lies to the workshop's owner are exposed, and his father beats him for lying and stealing. Zaki, meanwhile, travels abroad in a desperate attempt to increase his family's income, but it turns out that he was defrauded.
When Ali's deed is revealed, Adila, Saber's neighbor, refuses to wed her son Ahmed to Maha, and she plans to wed him to another girl, and a quarrel occurs between Adila and Karima, Maha's mother. Amal gives birth to a baby girl who she names Karima.
After his retirement, Saber starts looking for another job to provide for the family. Karima manages to get Ali a new job.
Saber starts working as a taxi driver, but he cannot wrap his mind around dealing with customers. Saber's new job subjects him to many life-changing events as he rescues a girl who has been in trouble with her family and he witnesses the death of a man. Saber's family reconciles with Abd Allah's.
Saber takes Karima to Alexandria. Zaki returns to Egypt. Adila's decision to sell the building comes as a surprise, and Saber's family is shocked that Zizo, the new owner, urges them to evacuate the building.
When Saber refuses to leave the apartment, Zizi hires a lawyer to expel all residents.
To get Saber to leave the apartment, Zizo files a report against Ali accusing him of assault. As luck would have it, and rather ironically, an earthquake demolishes the entire building.
Saber's family stays at Amal's house, and the Minister mediates to help Saber find a new apartment. Upon his return to Egypt, Zaki is robbed.
Ali starts working in an illegal business with chief Mansour. As for Saber, as he is driving his cab, he comes across an injured girl and takes her to the hospital, but that gets him in more trouble than he has initially anticipated.
Saber returns home after the girl regains her consciousness. Ahmed and Maha get engaged. Saber gets the contract for the new apartment that is still under construction.
A drug dealer offers Saber to work with him and assures him it is a fast buck, but Saber turns it down. Ali starts dealing in counterfeit money.
Ahmed is assigned with Ali's case and he and his team plot to have Ali and his partners arrested. Things go wrong when Ali mistakenly puts Mansour's bag in Saber's cab.
Saber is arrested, and Ali confesses in order to get his father out of prison. Both Saber and Ali are acquitted. Karima recovers, and the family is happily reunited.
