Youssef is released from prison. Mubarak fights with Saad over the latter's competing with him in the real estate market. As Saad is shocked by the burning of his warehouse and the death of his younger brother Abdullah, his wife Halima convinces him to sell the house so that he won't go bankrupt.
Youssef likes his neighbor Hoda, and tells his friend Mansour he wants to uncover who killed his brother Abdullah. Musa tries to get closer to Halima, taking advantage of her husband’s deteriorating financial condition. Zeinab's father refuses her and Abbas' marriage due to the big gap in their ages.
Fatima seeks to get closer to Musa, her brother-in-law. Abdul Rahman demands from Mubarak his inheritance from their father, and threatens to file a lawsuit against him.
Mubarak quarrels with his son because he refuses to work with him in the shop. Abbas attacks Saleh's two daughters at home and tries to expel them after Saleh refuses to let him marry one of them.
The workshop boss quarrels with Saad; Saleh asks Musa to look for a house for him; Narges decides to look for work to help her father.
Saad quarrels with Musa because he harassed Halima. Munira discovers her daughter Hoda’s relationship with Youssef.
Saad tells Youssef that he feels guilty about their brother who was burned in his warehouse. Mohsen quarrels with his son Mansour for beating up the landowner. Hoda asks Youssef to propose to her.
Mubarak lashes out at Youssef when the latter proposes marriage to his daughter Hoda. Maryam tells Halima of Musa’s love for her.
Umm Mansour (Mansour's mother) tries to convince Mohsen to marry off his daughter to the landowner. Fatima is still trying to get Musa to fall for her.
Abdul Rahman demands from his brother Mubarak his inheritance from his father. Musa quarrels with Fatima and her husband because they searched his room. Mohsen refuses to marry his daughter Zahra to Jawad, who is the same age as her father.
Saad scolds his brother Youssef for getting close to Hoda and quarreling with her father. Suleiman warns Musa against visiting Halima’s house. Abdul Rahman tells his brother of his desire to travel to Lebanon to work there.
Mansour tries to convince his sister Zahra not to marry Jawad, and Zeinab looks for work to support her mother financially.
As Mubarak finds letters to Youssef in his daughter Hoda's room, he threatens to harm him if he does not stay away from her. Abdul Rahman is attracted to Zeinab. Mohsen is forced to agree to his daughter's marriage to Jawad.
Mubarak prevents Hoda from leaving the house. Suleiman warns Musa not to deceive people on behalf of Mubarak. Saleh gives Mubarak money to invest with him so that he can buy a house.
Abdul Rahman asks Saleh for his daughter's hand in marriage. As Fatima leaves her husband's house, Umm Saqr asks Mubarak to mediate to return her home.
Abdul Rahman proposes marriage to Zeinab, but her father refuses because he is afraid of Mubarak. Fatima insists on filing a report against Musa with the police for beating her.
Mubarak scolds Saleh and threatens to fire him from his job if he does not keep his daughter away from his brother Abdul Rahman. Saad is surprised when Mubarak seizes his house due to the interest and debts he has incurred.
As Youssef quarrels with Mubarak and accuses him of burning his brother's warehouse, Mahmoud stabs him with a knife and steals the money, while the police question everyone to find out the culprit.
The police arrest Abdul Rahman and accuse him of trying to kill Mubarak, while Fatima quarrels with her husband for getting fired from work. Youssef and Mansour consider reporting their friend Mahmoud to the police.
Mahmoud escapes and the police are after him. Mubarak regains his health in the hospital. Zeinab takes a job as a nurse to help her father with expenses.
Saleh is surprised by Abbas's purchase of his house, in order to force him to agree to his marriage to his daughter. Munira refuses to have Abdul Rahman take over Mubarak's workshop during his illness. The police search for Youssef and accuse him of trying to kill Mubarak.
Rashid quarrels with Abdul Rahman for insisting on opening Mubarak's workshop, and prevents him from entering it. At the same time, investigations continue into the attempted murder of Mubarak.
Munira asks Musa to take over management of Mubarak's workshop while he is ill. The detective interrogates Youssef about stealing Mubarak's money from the workshop, while Saad is fired from his job.
Hoda flunks at school. Yacoub asks his brother Musa to leave home, while Halima asks the latter to help Youssef prove his innocence. Umm Mansour tells Jawad that his wife is pregnant.
Mubarak becomes paralyzed. Musa discovers Fatima's relationship with Mubarak and threatens to expose her. Abdul Rahman robs Munira in order to pay Zeinab's dowry.
Saleh demands that Mubarak return the money to him. Salem tries to attack Narges at home. Years pass and Hoda takes over the management of her father’s business and gets to know Mahmoud, who likes her, while Youssef is released from prison.
Mahmoud proposes to Hoda, and Mubarak remembers when he stabbed him. Musa quarrels with Fatima because of her bad reputation and causes her death. Yacoub goes crazy.
Munira refuses to give Abu Saleh his money. Mahmoud marries Hoda, and fears that Youssef will take revenge on him, and the latter suspects Musa of burning Saad’s warehouse.
Salem tells Narges that he loves her and wants to marry her. Youssef seeks to prove his innocence to Hoda of the charge of trying to kill her father. Mahmoud is afraid that Hoda will discover the truth. Mansour's father demands that Jawad return the land to him.
Maryam informs Halima of Youssef’s desire to take revenge on Musa and avenge his brother. Halima discovers Musa’s trade in liquor. Youssef records Mahmoud’s confession about trying to kill Hoda's father and hands it over to her.
