The series deals with the lives of the people of the Gulf during the forties and fifties and their dependence, as a source of livelihood, on the trade of basic commodities such as pearls, wood, dates, spices, gold, and others, between them and India in particular, while reviewing many social issues in the Gulf region during that period.
