Hala is forced to return to her hometown in the Levant with her aunt when she learns of her father Adnan's illness. At his home, her paternal half-sister Hiyam receives her in an inappropriate and unwelcoming manner.
Hiyam tries to prevent Hala from seeing her father. Hiyam’s brother, Samir, gets into a car accident, so Hala rushes to the hospital to check on him. Hiyam tries to tamper with the police report on the incident in favor of her brother.
Hala scolds Hiyam for trying to tamper with the report and causing Wafa, Samir's friend who was with him in the car, to lose her rights. Hiyam receives a threat. It turns out that the incident was planned, so Nazir seeks to help Hala reach the journalist Nabil to find out the incidents circumstances.
The lawyer Hashem warns Hiyam against making a suspicious food supply deal. While Wafa is paralyzed, Hala and Nabil report Hisham, the owner of the car involved in the incident, to the police.
Hiyam is upset because her husband Nazir cooperated with Hala in trying to find the person responsible for the incident, and Hisham confesses that he plotted with Jaber to hit Samir with his car.
Hiyam tries to push Hala to return to France, but her father refuses. When the latter's illness worsens, Hala intervenes in his treatment, and Dr. Ghassan provides assistance.
Maher likes Hala, and Nazir asks the latter to help Hiyam after Wafa's father files a suit against her. Samir quarrels with Hiyam because she rejects the idea of him marrying Wafa, but Hala convinces her father that Samir needs to travel with Wafa for her treatment abroad.
Things become difficult between Nazir and Hiyam as a couple, and the latter rages when her father agrees to let Ghassan treat him and to redo the medical tests.
Sumaya advises Hala to travel and stay away from problems with Hiyam. The situation between Hiyam and her brother Tayseer escalates due to disagreements over the management of the company. Hiyam assures him that Hala is attempting to create a rift between them.
Ghassan tells Hala that her father, Adnan, does not have cancer but rather a psychological illness because of Sumaya leaving him. Adnan visits her, trying to re-establish their previous bond.
Hiyam is upset by Ghassan’s diagnosis of her father’s medical condition, which contradicts the diagnosis of her personal doctor, Sabri, and asks Tayseer to monitor her father.
Things get worse between Hiyam and Hashem, and she accuses him of stealing her mother’s vase. She is surprised when her father returns to work, and the latter discovers that his daughter is spying on him.
Hiyam gets involved in a drug case due to the food supply deal but is saved by Maher, who admits he likes Hala. Ghassan suggests that Adnan return to Sumaya so that his psychological state continues to improve.
Adnan tells Sumaya that she is the reason for the improvement in his medical condition. Sumaya tells him that she got married after their divorce and gave birth to a son whom she named Adnan. Hiyam is shocked when she learns that her father met Sumaya.
Hiyam kicks Hala out of the house and believes that she is plotting against her to bring her mother back to the house. Adnan takes Hala to visit Sumaya.
When Hiyam visits Sumaya at her home, she finds her mother's vase, so she breaks it, threatens Sumaya to stay away from her father Adnan, and tries to convince Sumaya's son to work at her company in an attempt to put pressure on Sumaya.
Hiyam tells Tayseer to hire Sumaya's son so she can get him involved in a lawsuit. Adnan meets Amal and remembers his love for her.
Nabil publishes a negative article on Hiyam and her involvement in a case of spoiled food. The latter quarrels with Hala, believing that she plotted with Nabil on this matter. Hala turns to Amal after Hiyam kicks her out of the house.
Hiyam claims to Maher that Hala is fighting her and that she is the reason behind her involvement in the food case. At the same time, Hala and Nazir try to help Hiyam prove her innocence, and Hala seeks reconciliation between Tayseer and his wife, Sahar.
Things get tense between Maher and Hala, and he accuses her of having a relationship with Nabil. Maher succeeds in getting Nabil imprisoned on charges of blackmailing Hiyam and beating Sumaya's son.
Sumaya tells her son that Hiyam is seeking revenge on her and asks him to quit working with her. Adnan asks Hiyam to drop the case against Nabil, and Hiyam quarrels with her husband, Nazir, and accuses him of cooperating with Hala against her.
Adnan tells Hashem that he wants to marry Sumaya and Amal at the same time. Hiyam is upset by this news, but Adnan dies before going through with the marriage.
Adnan's funeral takes place, and Hiyam forbids Sumaya from staying at her father's house and attempts to exert influence over Sumaya's son. At the same time, Hala seeks to calm things down between her and Hiyam to no avail.
Hiyam feels pained and shocked when Hashem announces that her father's will states that Hala will get everything and assume the presidency of the companies' board of directors. Hiyam asks Maher to support her in filing a lawsuit against Hala.
Hala asks her brother Adnan to work at the company. Maher hires Kamal as a legal custodian for the company, and Maher tells Amal that Hala has forged the company's ownership papers.
Maher informs Hiyam of a rumor that Adnan, Sumaya's son, is her paternal half-brother. Hala asks Ahmed to keep an eye on Kamal to uncover any plot against her, so Kamal attempts to have Ahmed's integrity questioned.
In an attempt to gain Tayseer's trust, Hala assigns him the management of a large project, which angers Hiyam. Maher continues to fight Hala and vow to hurt her, and the latter receives anonymous threats regarding the issue of her father's estate.
The pronouncement hearing in Adnan's inheritance case is adjourned due to Hashem's tardiness. Ahmed quarrels with Maher and beats him.
Hiyam accuses Samir of insanity in an attempt to prevent him from taking over as financial manager of the company. The police arrest Ahmed. Although Hala saves Hiyam from certain death, the latter insists on taking revenge on her.
