Wafaa is shocked when her ex-husband, Fawzy, sues her for the custody of their son Hany, after he got married to his new wife, Nagwan.
Judge Ahmed Mourad grants Hany's custody to Fawzy. Wafaa's ardent efforts to get Fawzy to reconsider are met with failure. Hany runs away when Fawzy arrives to get him.
Fawzy accuses Wafaa of being behind Hany's disappearance. Salem informs Wafaa that Hany is at his house. When Fawzy arrives at Salem's house, Hany goes to the house of his classmate, Amr. Amr's father, Ahmed, convinces Hany to call his mother to reassure her.
When Ahmed discovers that he was the judge who ruled on Hany's custody case, he orders Fawzy to get close to Hany before he takes him home. When Amr gets into a fight at school, he is asked to bring his father. Nagwan encourages Fazwy to transfer Hany to another school.
As Ahmed learns of his son's misbehavior, he tries to get close to him to amend his behavior. Nagwan starts to enforce a distance between Hany and Wafaa by refusing to allow them to talk on the phone. She also mistreats Hany.
Ahmed asks Qamhawy and Wafaa to tutor Amr. Nagwan berates Hany after he calls Wafaa. Fawzy visits Wafaa's house.
Fawzy asks Wafaa to get back together with him, but she refuses. Amr prepares for Hany and Wafaa to meet at his house behind Fawzy's back, but Fawzy shows up while they are together.
As Fawzy quarrels with Hany, he and Nagwan forbid him from getting in contact with Wafaa, and they lock him in his room. As Wafaa is assigned as a chaperone to a school trip to Alexandria, Hany runs away from home and gets hit by a car.
As Hany is rushed to the hospital, Wafaa remains by his side. Hany visits Ahmed and Amr. Fawzy decides to take Hany home after he recovers. Ahmed gets close to Wafaa. Wafaa inherits some money after her uncle dies. As Wafaa visits Hany, Nagwan accuses her of being hung up on Fawzy and kicks her out.
Ahmed asks Fawzy to return Hany to Wafaa. Fawzy visits Wafaa and promises her that he has changed. As Ahmed proposes to Wafaa, she asks him to postpone the matter due to her uncle's death. Fawzy brings Hany back to Wafaa's house.
Fawzy asks Ahmed to mediate between him and Wafaa, and warns him that he will continue to be a bother if she refuses. Wafaa agrees to wed Ahmed. When they go to her house to inform Hany, she is shocked to find Fawzy who claims that they have gotten remarried and produces a marriage certificate.
Fawzy threatens to ruin Wafaa's life if she contests his lie. Ahmed is left devastated in the wake of Wafaa's perceived betrayal. As Wafaa tries to clarify the matter to Ahmed, he refuses to hear her out. Amr informs Nagwan of the date for Fawzy's wedding.
The school principal and Qamhawy locate the woman who impersonated Wafaa to sign off on the marriage. Hany learns the truth about his father's evil way and his mother's sacrifice. Ahmed promises to always stand by Wafaa and never to abandon her again. Fawzy is arrested after losing all his money.
