The series revolves around the historical period during the Mamluk rule, and the Tatars' attempt to control the world, during a period when Egypt had no ruler. It also monitors the conflict between the Mamluks and the Ottomans, the defeat of the Mamluks, and the capture of the last Mamluk Sultan Tuman Bay and his hanging at Bab Zuweila.
