This picture is an adaptation of the best-selling novel by the same name. Ruth is a 14-year-old girl that is murdered by a neighbor. In the aftermath of that grizzly crime, Ruth finds herself marooned between Heaven and Earth in a strange form of afterlife. She can only look on and watch as her family piece together the evidence and try to capture their daughter’s murderer.
