In 2001, in East Jerusalem, the young Palestinian, Khaled Kanaan, returns home after studying medicine in London, preferring to serve his people over the tempting offers presented to him in London, especially after he and his friend, Walid, who is studying film directing, are attacked and his house burned down following his success.
