As he holds a signing for his new novel, Steps of Love, Nizar gets angry at Julia when she is late to the party. As Dalia reads the novel, Nizar rejects her attempt to revise it before publishing. Nizar asks his sister, Nadia, to remarry in the wake of her husband's death.

As they get close, Nizar learns that Dalia is wheelchair-bound, getting a glimpse into her world and how her disability shapes her life. Julia gets angry that Nizar doesn't take her calls. Dalia reflects on her relationship with Wassim, who abandoned her and refused to marry her.

Dalia's father reflects on the accident that caused her paralysis. As Julia complains to Nizar's sister and family, he orders her not to go to them with her complaints. Nizar invites Dalia to join him and Julia for lunch, which angers the latter, as he offers for Dalia to work with him.

As Dalia meets Nizar's family and starts working with him, Julia gets angry. As Nizar falls for Dalia and confesses his feelings for her, he discovers that Julia's friend, Nancy, is in a relationship with Wassim, who caused Dalia's accident.

As Nizar starts daydreaming about Dalia regaining her ability to walk, he suspects that Julia knows Wassim. As Dalia takes some time off to look after orphaned children, she eventually decides to quit after Nizar's sister insults her.

Nizar asks an association for those with special needs for information to discuss their issues on his program. Dalia reflects on how Wassim wanted to sleep with her prior to their marriage before the accident that left her paralyzed. Wassim gets angry when he learns that Dalia is working with Nizar.

As Wassim tries to manipulate Dalia, she rebuffs him and kicks him out. As her spirits plummet, her parents get a doctor to handle her case, and Nizar offers to cover the expenses. As Nizar confesses his feelings for Dalia, she reveals that she reciprocates his feelings.

Angry with Nizar for his relationship with Dalia, Julia calls Wassim so that they could get revenge, even though Nancy tries to calm her down. Nizar asks Wassim to stay away from Dalia. Dalia breaks down after Julia threatens her.

As Nancy goes to Julia's house, Wassim hides to prevent her from learning that he was with Julia. As Nizar reveals Wassim and Julia's relationship to Nancy, he convinces Julia that he is still in love with her. Julia claims to Dalia that she was pregnant with Nizar's baby.

Wassim informs Dalia that he is sterile and that Julia cheated on him. Nizar rebuffs Julia when she tries to get back together with him. As Nadia refuses to let her children visit Dalia, Dalia insists that Nadia must agree to her marriage to Nizar. Dalia and Nizar get married.
