A cart full of gas cylinders explodes during the famous Allenby effigy burning ceremony, destroying Farah's house and causing her to lose her memory. Her twin sister, Farida, dies in the accident, so Aziz, Farida's husband, takes advantage of what happened and continues his relationship with Farah, considering her Farida, out of greed for her money.
