The neighborhood prepare for the Emperor of Germany's visit to the Levant. A rumor spreads that a young man is fighting with Nimr. Zakaria returns his sister Dalal from Acre after her divorce. El Zaeem (the leader) is waiting for his wife Wahiba to give birth. Barakat tells him he had a bad dream about the neighborhood.
After Reda drops the hookah on Hamdi Effendi and is expelled, Wafiq mediates for him as he works for his mother, so he returns him to work. El Zaeem and the neighborhood's men congratulate Zakaria on his and his sister's return. Wahiba suffers from labour pain and is about to give birth.
Wahiba dies while giving birth. As the midwife pushes Fahima to breastfeed the child, Dalal tells Zakaria so that he quarrels with his wife. While the child is crying, El Zaeem learns who breastfed him, so he asks Zakaria that Fahima breastfeed him and asks Qatr El Nada to take care of her baby brother.
The German emperor arrives in the Levant. Umm Yassin tells Qatr El Nada that her father should marry, which is the same as what the masters of the neighborhood said to El Zaeem, who decides on the problem of Abu Karmo and his brother's shop. Qatr El Nada suggests to Dalal to work as a seamstress with Badria.
After the governor meets with the neighborhood masters in order to visit the emperor of Germany, El Zaeem asks Nimr to perform a show in front of the emperor. Qatr El Nada takes Dalal with her to Badria, then she invites her to her brother's baby shower, whereupon Umm Yassin suggest to El Zaeem to marry Dalal.
After the neighbourhood prepares to receive the emperor who doesn't come, Dalal asks Asia to take her to her mother, the midwife, to examine her. As Hamdi sees the beauty of Umm Reda, he accepts her request to return Reda to work and sends him Wafiq, but Reda refuses. El Mukhtar asks Fathi to release Abu Wassef.
El Zaeem thanks Nimr for catching the thieves. Dalal gives a lot of money to Umm Asia. Hamdi goes to return Reda to work and warns the workers against being subjected to him. The emperor sends the Order of Prestige to El Zaeem, who sends him his sword.
El Zaeem asks for Dalal's hand from Zakaria. El Mukhtar Abu El Yusr returns from pligrimage, so the chief of the neighborhood and Abu Wassef tell him that El Zaeem postponed his marriage until he comes. Abu El Yusr gives money to Megiddo. In a dream, Wahiba entrusts the children to El Zaeem, who marries Dalal.
El Zaeem admires the beauty of Dalal, but he is shocked when the baby is suffocating, whereupon he reproaches Qatr El Nada and takes him to the doctor. Hamdi says to Reda that he will appoint him as his business manager. El Zaeem orders Zidane to marry the wife of his deceased brother.
Zidane asks Abu Wassef to take the masters' opinion regarding his marriage to his brother's wife. Dalal continues to suffer because El Zaeem hasn't consummated their marriage. Barakat advises El Zaeem to divorce Dalal after he took out a large snake from his house. Dalal leaves a gun in front of Hassan.
Dalal finds the baby is dead. Reda hits his two co-workers when they tell him what Hamdi is doing with him is because of his mother. When he returns, he finds Hamdi attacking his mother, so he hits him and runs after him with a pistol, then flees. El Zaeem and the masters hear what happened from Umm Reda.
After the guidance prayer, Umm Asia settles on Kawkab's marriage. Zakaria then Nimr defends Umm Reda from the families of the deceased men whom Reda killed in defense of his mother. El Zaeem and the masters make the deceased's family choose between the ransom or to fight, then find Umm Reda with his mother.
After Fathi tells El Zaeem and the masters that Reda is wanted for arrest, they go with Barakat to propose to Kawkab. Meanwhile, the officers chase Reda and shoot him, so he escapes but is injured and goes to the cemetery. Haddou steals money from his aunt to buy the shop where he works.
The cemetery caretaker extracts the bullet from Reda and treats him. Barakat escapes on his wedding day, so El Zaeem asks Aboud to marry Kawkab. Hamdi tells Fathi he asked a friend of his about Reda's case, and he told him he might not be sentenced to execution if it turned out he was defending his dignity.
After Dalal tells Shahda she will give her El Hassan to run away with him and she leaves him with Umm Shukri and goes out, Shahda runs away with him and leaves his clothes at the sea as if he drowned, which is what El Zaeem believed. Umm Shukri decides to leave the house, but El Zaeem refuses.
A firman is issued by the commandant to execute Reda. El Zaeem tells Abu Sakhr to treat his wife well or divorce her. He gives Reda another gun and money to send them to Egypt to his friends. Asia brings Badria and the women under the pretext of visiting Dalal, who wants to bring back Qatr El Nada for sewing.
Reda shoots Hamdi but does not injure him, then sends an apology to El Zaeem that he'll take his revenge on Hamdi. Omar tells El Zaeem they didn't reach Hassan’s body. Ezzo returns from war to find his brother Zidane married his wife, so he returns to war. Umm Aboud complains to her son about Kawkab .
El Zaeem tells Umm Yassin he won't divorce Dalal, so she suggests that he take another wife. Hamdi brings officers to his shop after Reda set him on fire. Qatr El Nada returns to sewing with Badria. As Abdo marries Asia, Reda becomes one of the people of Abu Abdo, and he defends them and their land.
Dalal tells El Zaeem the money and gold have been stolen, then he finds them in Umm Shaker's room, so he expels her. Barakat returns to the neighborhood. Reda kills Hamdi. El Mukhtar talks to the governor about the firman of Reda's execution.
Dalal warns Qatr El Nada in front of El Zaeem not to return late. A young man tells El Zaeem in front of El Mukhtar and the chief that Qatr El Nada had an affair with him. As Umm Asia and another midwife confirms to El Zaeem that Qatr El Nada is not a virgin, he wants to kill her, then he detains her.
The chief fails to make the leader retract the punishment imposed on his daughter and asks Nimr to kill her. El Zaeem relinquishes the leadership. Reda finds the daughter alive, so he takes her to his mother for treatment.
El Zaeem refrains from leaving the house and goes on a hunger strike, but the masters persuade him to go out as the leader of the neighbourhood. Zakaria kills Diab. Qatr El Nada wakes up, but her voice has disappeared. El Zaeem decides not to have children, then intercedes for Zakaria with Officer Omar.
Dalal tries to drive a wedge between El Zaeem and Umm Yassin as she wants him to marry to have kids. As the neighborhood's people attack Diab's family, some of them are hospitalized and some are arrested, but Officer Omar promises El Zaeem to release them. Qatr El Nada is shocked she's in her neighborhood.
The curfew continues on the neighbourhood. Umm Reda brings a woman to treat Qatr El Nada's voice, while Abu Wassef is beaten because of the tales he tells. Qatr El Nada falls to the ground and her voice returns. El Zaeem is shot during the celebration of the Prophet’s birth.
Reda sets Qatr El Nada free by letting her stay with his mother without telling them who she is, but she leaves. As El Zaeem begins to recover, the masters advise him to meet with people because some of them wants to avenge him. El Zaeem decides to send Abu Nadim to bring the two young men who shot him.
Abu Nadim brings his two sons to El Zaeem as he didn't find the two men, so El Zaeem tells him his revenge is in exchange for Diab’s revenge. El Zaeem dreams of Barakat telling him Nimr will be his successor. El Zaeem pays a reward for those who reduced Zakaria’s sentence to 5 years. Reda escapes arrest.
As Qatr El Nada overhears Umm Reda telling her son she'll get him engaged to her, he tells her she'll think she's forced to agree, then he bids farewell to his mother and her. The neighborhood's men catch the two men; El Zaeem turns them in and learns from a sheikh that his enemy is close to him.
As El Zaeem pardons the two young men after their mother came, they tell him Diab is a liar, and that what he said about his daughter is not accurate. As 3 years pass, Nimr becomes like Barakat. As the Minister of the Levant issues a pardon for all prisoners, El Zaeem informs Umm Reda. The snake bites Umm Asia.
Reda returns to his mother. After Umm Asia tells El Zaeem and Saadi that his daughter is a virgin and that Dalal made her lie, she confirms that in front of the neighborhood's masters then dies. Dalal confesses to El Zaeem and he locks her. The neighborhood begins to learn about Qatr El Nada's innocence.
El Zaeem searches for Qatr El Nada's body, but those who buried her didn't find her grave. El Zaeem gives Dalal's son to Fahima to raise him. Reda learns Qatr El Nada is El Zaeem's daughter.
El Hassan returns with El Zaeem after he gave the chief of the tribe proof that he is his son. Zakaria gets out of prison and learns about Dalal's divorce and what she did, while the curse returns to Dalal. Reda marries Qatr El Nada.
