In Lebanon in 1927, Munira gives birth to her daughter, Janet, and Gerges is angry because she has not given birth to a boy. Janet wishes to become a singer, and her sister, Juliet, dies of accidentally being shot by some man. Gerges asks Munira to work to help him.

Jamila accuses her husband, Akram, of trying to kill Khalil because of his suspicion that they are having an affair. Gerges decides to travel to Beirut with his family. Janet is sad because she failed the radio exam.

Janet refuses to attend a play starring her sister Lamia, after which Janet and the family travel to Egypt, and she prepares to star in her first film (Heart's True Love). Barakat proposes to Assia.

Riad Al Sunbati gives Janet the stage name Sabah. Ismail Yassine ​tries to persuade Anwar Wagdi to work on the film. Sabah collapses after the film gets canceled. Hussein Sedky asks Sabah to work with him on the film (The Start of the Month), while Assia continues working on her film.

Sabah refuses to marry Barakat, while Anwar Wagdi falls in love with her, and she also falls for him. Gerges refuses that Anwar marry Sabah. Assia insists on giving Sabah the same salary she got on her first film, and the latter signs the contract for her film (The Start of the Month).

Sabah is shocked by Anwar Wagdi's engagement to Leila Mourad, while her film (The Start of the Month) bombs. Munira discovers Gerges' infidelity. Sabah returns to Beirut to perform in several concerts and collapses as she learns of the murder of her neighbor, Mahmoud. Fadel proposes to Lamia.

Lamia marries Fadel without the knowledge of her father, who gets angry then assaults Sabah, who signs the contract for a new film with Assia. Nour El Hoda gets angry because of Sabah's nomination instead of her. Assia gives the part of the leading man to Salah Nazmi, and the film succeeds.

Sabah asks Assia that she sing a Lebanese song in her next film, but she refuses. Sabah signs the contract for a new film with Aziza Amir, but she is shocked by Youssef Wahbi's harsh treatment of her. Leila Mourad gets angry as Anwar Wagdi signs a contract for a film with Sabah.

Sabah meets Najib Chammas with Borhan Sadek, the leading man of her new film. She quarrels with her father and turns to Najib. The shooting of the film stops. Najib proposes to Sabah, and they get married after the completion of the shooting of the film (First Glance) without her father's knowledge.

Najib's mother objects to his marriage to Sabah, while disputes erupt, and he refuses that she return to acting. Lamia gives birth to her daughter, Clauda, and visits her family who returned to Beirut. Shafik confesses to Sabah's mother that he assaulted Jamila and wants to marry her.

As the years pass, Sabah becomes more and more famous. Shafik asks Munira to mend fences between him and Jamila, telling her that he admits his guilt, which he repents. Antoine kills his mother, Munira, and Shafik, assuming they are having an affair.

Antoine flees to the mountain and learns that his mother was innocent and was not an adulterer. Sabah asks Najib for a divorce, which he refuses, and she is forced to give up her home so he'd divorce her. Sabah performs in several concerts in a hotel in Beirut.

The bodyguard Hanna accompanies Sabah and feels jealous of the rich man Abdullah. Sabah travels with Abdullah abroad and asks him to marry her, but he refuses then agrees because he loves her. She discovers that Abdullah belongs to the ruling family in Kuwait and that he is married to another woman.

Disagreements escalate between Abdullah and his family due to their rejection of Sabah, who receives a death threat. Sabah returns to Beirut and develops chronic depression, whereupon she decides to return to Egypt, where she meets violinist Anwar Mansy during a meeting with Mohammed Abdel Wahab.

Anwar Mansy proposes to Sabah, while his mother objects because Sabah is an artist and a divorcee. Gerges asks Sabah for some money and warns her of this marriage. After their marriage, she discovers his addiction to gambling and complains to Farid al-Atrash. Sabah tells Anwar that she is pregnant.

Anwar Mansy dies after falling off a horse in a race. As Anwar's mother kidnaps her granddaughter, Howayda, Sabah converts to Islam to obtain custody of her daughter officially, after which Sabah marries presenter Ahmed Farrag.

Sabah meets Ahmed Farrag at the TV building after a period of estrangement, but he decides to divorce her despite her consent to have kids with him, and as her psychological condition deteriorates, Farid al-Atrash tries to comfort her. Sabah gets into trouble with the Revolutionary Command Council.
