To maintain his control over them, Mostafa Al-Qersh refuses to rent his boat to Farhoud and Salem. The people celebrate the approach of the annual folk mawlid (Islamic saints commemorating celebration).

As Farhoud takes a dive based on the legend of the lost treasure, he hits his head and ends up dead. Salem refuses to believe that his death was a mere accident, and accuses Al-Qersh of killing Farhoud. When Salem refuses an offer from Al-Qersh, the latter gets him locked up in his house.

Al-Qersh releases Salem after the latter refuses his offer to work with him. The new mysterious doctor, Taymor, offers Salem to work with him as he dives to conduct some experiments for his research.

Taymor confesses to Salem that he came to the region to find the treasure. As Salem trains to dive and prepares to look for the treasure, he gets kidnapped by two masked assailants.

As the townspeople find Salem, he informs Taymor that his attackers stole his diving suit. Taymour suspects that Salem planned his own kidnapping to hide the fact that he found the treasure. Salem hides the treasure in a remote area.

As the news spreads that Salem has found the treasure, the townspeople gather around him, demanding a share. As Salem denies finding the treasure, Erfan dies out of sadness after he confirms that Salem found the treasure and hid it. Al-Qersh has Salem monitored to find out where he hid the treasure.

Chaos takes over the town as everyone tries to find the treasure. As the people break into Salem's house to search it, Taymor offers to smuggle Salem out of town and give him part of the treasure if Salem agrees to give Taymor the chest he found.

As the people wake up to the news of Salem's disappearance, Taymor arranges to hide Salem in the city. When Raslan tries to kidnap Karam to use him as a bargaining chip against Salem, Al-Senary stands up to him. With Taymor's help, Salem quickly becomes a major businessman.

Khamis and his men attack Salem in Cairo after they discover his location, but Taymor's men arrest them. Salem tries to adjust to his new life.

When Morsy arrives to meet Salem, he informs him that Taymor didn't deliver the money to Nawara and her mother, who continue to live in poverty. Salem refuses to believe Morsy. Nawara's mother passes away after her health goes downhill.

Nawara asks Al-Qersh to get Senary away from her and her son Karam. As Taymor tries to prevent Salem from falling back into his old life, he arranges for him to leave Egypt with Laila.

When the fishermen set Nawara's house aflame, Morsy and his men succeed in preventing it from burning down. Khamis's men try to kidnap Nagafa, but Raslan and Bakir stand up to them. Senary attacks Nawara and tries to rape her, but his attempt fails.

Taymor threatens to give the checks that Salem signed to the police unless Salem gives him the treasure chest. Khamis kills Nagafa after she tries to prevent Senary from forcibly marrying Nawara. Salem goes back home and gives the treasure to the townspeople. Salem's son Karam drowns.
