In the past, Abu Farid (Farid's father) tells his friend, Abu Selim (Selim's father), that he is in love with a girl called Julnar. But as he asks his mother to ask for her hand, his wedding day brings the unexpected surprise that his bride isn't the woman he wanted to marry.

Abu Farid is unable to bear the way his son treats him. It's revealed that Haifaa is in love with Walid. Qusay tries to get close to Wedad, but she doesn't give him a chance.

Abu Farid decides to get a job to overcome his boredom, leading him to start working at a real estate office.

Farid incites Selim against his wife, Souad, advising him to be firm with her. Abu Farid sees his former sweetheart, Julnar, but is unable to reach her.

Essam asks his father, Abu Selim, to go to Aleppo with him. Abu Farid refuses to give into despair and continues to look for Julnar.

Farid gets upset when he learns that Haifaa is in a relationship with Walid, leading him to threaten Selim. Haifaa gets engaged to Walid.

Farid decides to seek his own brand of revenge on Selim. Essam's wife, Nahla, decides to leave the house after being unable to handle his father's treatment.

Despite his failure to find Julnar, Abu Farid decides to look again. Unable to deal with the current situation, Essam decides to send his father back to the Levant.

In an attempt to prove his mettle as a man, Walid plots with Abu Hanak to rob his father's house, but his plot ends in failure. Wedad starts getting close to Qusay.

As Haifaa decides not to abandon Walid, her father finally accepts her decision. The police officer gets upset with Abu Farid as the latter tries to find Julnar in the building.

Abu Farid enlists Abu Selim's help to find Julnar. Mansour asks Farid to help him with his father.

Souad learns that Jihan has been deceiving her by selling her regular clothes, claiming that they are brands. Walid gets upset when he learns about it.

Abu Farid enlists Abla's help in his everlasting quest to find Julnar. As Haifaa reconciles with Walid, they devise a plan to convince their families to approve their marriage.

Souad tells Selim not to believe Farid. Seham's husband decides to do anything to drive her father out of the house.

Seham's husband grows fed up with her father. Mayada starts to get close to Qusay. Souad's mother talks to her daughter about marrying Abu Selim.

As Abu Farid gets upset that his son is interfering with his personal life, he finally finds Julnar, only to discover that her real name is Rabab. Julnar's daughter, Wedad, tells Abu Farid that her mother waited for him.

As Abu Farid awaits Rabab's return from her travels to marry her, he waits too long as she is late in returning.

Abu Farid learns that Rabab is not Julnar, leaving him to apologize to her and Wedad as he grows depressed.

As Abu Selim decides to wed Rabab, he brings Bassam to wed Wedad. It appears that it's not fated for Abu Farid and Julnar to reunite.

As Abu Selim marries Rabab, Souad incites Abu Selim against her to get rid of her. As Abu Farid sees Julnar on TV, he starts to look for her, unaware that she is nearby.

As Abu Selim is unable to bear being placed in a retirement home due to his unstable actions, Abu Farid decides to help him.

As Abu Selim's attempt to break out of the retirement home fails, Abu Farid implements another plan to get him out, helping him to escape.

As Abu Selim stays with Abu Farid, he manages to mend his bridges with Souad. Abu Farid gets a tip about Julnar's location, but he is unable to find her.

As Farid and Selim get arrested for being smugglers, their families try to figure out a way to secure their release.

Selim becomes violent after being locked up. Farid decides to break off Haifaa and Walid's engagement after Selim beats him.

Walid battles disappointment when his poems get rejected. As Abu Selim picks up fights with his colleagues, he soon forms a lot of rivalries.

As Abu Farid resorts to sorcery to find Julnar, he soon learns that he is being swindled. Amal takes revenge on Qusay.

Abu Farid learns that Qusay is defrauding his college classmates. Abu Selim falls for Umm Souad.

Qusay decides to turn over a new leaf. Walid insists on marrying Haifaa. Abu Farid continues to look for his sweetheart, Julnar.
