As Captain Abu Ahmed tries to convince his son Nasser to wed, the latter asks him to postpone it. Abu Mansour asks his son to join him in the city guard and leave his job as a fisherman.

Mody talks to her husband Salem about wedding his sister Sarah to Abu Saad. Though Salem initially refuses due to the age difference, he eventually tries to convince his brother to sell the house, marry off his sister, and take the money. The captain tells Hajj Mohamed that a mysterious illness is spreading.

Abu Soliman refuses to marry his daughter off to Abu Saad. The captain is upset that the outbreak has caused men to refuse to go out to sea. Saqr tells his uncle that he earned some profit from selling his merchandise. Sultan asks Abu Mansour to keep his son away from Hessa.

Abu Mansour asks his son to stay away from Sultan's sistr. Abu Soliman asks the captain to find a buyer for the house and a husband for Sarah. Nasser falls for Sarah and asks his father to propose to her. The captain asks Sultan to wed Mansour to Hessa.

After the mysterious disease continues spreading, Abu Mansour tells his son that they need to take precautions to prevent any stranger from coming into town. Nasser and Sarah wed. Abu Soliman sells the house.

As Abu Soliman's children divide the money among them, each buys their own house. Mody suggests for Salem to start working in trade. Rashed learns that Saqr is selling the merchandise. When Salem's employer learns that he is neglecting his father, he fires him.

When Nasser and Mansour get in a fight with others, Mansour gets injured and Nasser takes him home. Salem's father dies after asking him to look after Sarah. Rashed goes looking for Saqr.

The captain decides to retire from working out at sea. Salem tells Sarah that he is going abroad for work. Nasser asks his brother Ahmed to take his place at sea. El Nemr and Saqr plot to rob the shops while the men are out fishing.

The captain warns Abu Noura that a dangerous disease is spreading around town. El Nemr and Saqr flee town after robbing various shops and houses.

When Rashed discovers that his nephew is a thief, he orders Sultan to buy everything from the market, including guns. As Ahmed tries to save a sick guy who later goes on to die, his father forbids him from helping, fearing that he might contract the disease.

The city gate is closed to contain the outbreak. The captain orders his family to quarantine themselves inside the house. People start fleeing town, including Sultan and his family. Fearing infection, Ahmed prevents his wife Noura from visiting her family.

Sultan enlists Rashed's help to buy a house. Noura tells Sarah to visit her family at night. As many people lose their jobs, Soliman thinks about robbing the dead.

When Soliman gets the plague, Umm Noura refuses to allow him inside the house, but he deceives her and enters, deliberately infecting her before he dies. Rashed advises Sultan to look for a house in the Bedouin's region.

Noura resents that she is being forbidden from visiting her family. Tayba passes away. Abu Rady thinks about giving his house to Sultan. When Umm Noura starts showing symptoms, she is forced to stay alone in her room.

Sultan receives his new house from Abu Rady. Umm Noura passes away. As Mansour and his father overhear the plans of those trying to break into town, they lie in wait to fight them off.

After failing to break into town, Saqr and his men manage to enter on their second attempt to rob the town. Mansour and his father agree to switch the location of the guards. As Noura asks the captain to allow her to visit her family, he refuses, prompting her to try and escape with her son.

Saqr and his men start robbing the house of the dead. Sultan decides to go to his family. The plague claims the lives of Noura's younger sisters. The captain agrees to let Noura visit her family if she agrees to stay away for the disease incubation period.

As Noura arrives at her family home, she learns that they have passed away and ends up burying her father after he dies. Salem returns to town to look for his sister Sarah, but Mansour reassures him that she is fine.

Fahd's brother kills a man while trying to rob him. Sultan threatens Salem to stay away from Mody and asks him to divorce her.

Umm Mansour assures Sarah that they have a stock of dates that will last for a long time. As Saqr and his men try to rob Umm Mansour, she uses her wits to drive them away.

Salem tells everyone that Sultan has been exploiting them by selling them much-needed food. Fahd and Saqr decide to tie Fahd's brother up to prevent him from killing anyone else.

Mansour bids his father farewell and travels to see Hessa, only to meet Ali who hides the fact that he is working with Sultan.

Sultan asks Ali to kill Salem. Mansour meets Rashed and Abu Rady to ask them not to sell any merchandise to Sultan and Ali.

Mansour returns to town and informs his father that Sultan has been exploiting the people. Saqr unties Fahd's brother to send him out for food. Ali kills Salem.

As Mody decides to kill her brother Sultan after he killed her husband Salem, she accidentally kills Sultan's servant after Sultan gets him to sleep in his bed. The captain kills Saqr after the latter and his men try to rob his house. As Fahd and Nemr flee, Nemr kills his brother after he contracts the plague.

Abu Mansour gets the plague; Mody passes away; Hessa loses her mind.

As Abu Mansour's condition deteriorates, he tells his son to stay away from him, even after he dies, so as not to contract the disease. As the captain starts bleeding, he hides it from Sarah.

Mansour's father passes away. Most of the sailors contract the plague while on the boat. Mansour decides to help the men bury the dead. Umm Mansour and the captain die. Nasser returns to town.

Mansour buries his mother as Nasser buries his father. Nasser meets Noura and asks her to come back home. Ali threatens to expose Sultan in front of everyone. Nasser leaves town.

Ali kills himself. Nasser confronts Sultan about his exploitation of people. Mansour and his men decontaminate the town, which causes people to return. Sarah falls pregnant. Nasser becomes captain in his father's stead.
