Shafiq lives with his wife Nazira. Naeem’s cow headbutts Shafiq, and Shafiq tells the villagers that he has a device to tell a healthy cow from a crazy one, and he considers himself a veterinarian.
Shafiq and Nazira leave the village and go to Damascus to look for work. They work in a hotel and pay money to a tourism office to travel abroad, however, Shafiq discovers that the office has set them up.
Shafiq searches for his cousin Saeed in Damascus to help him pay the rent and find a suitable job. Shafiq works as a waiter in the Al Awafy restaurant, but he encounters problems, gets into a fight with the restaurant owner, and is fired from the restaurant.
Shafiq and Nazira hear about the hijackers who demanded a million dollars to release the plane passengers, so they attack a bus and demand the same amount. Moreover, Shafiq asks the police to fulfill the bus passengers' demands.
Shafiq goes to meet his childhood friend, Dr. Mazen, to help him find a job. Shafiq works as a secretary in Mazen's clinic, but he exploits his job and treats patients and prescribes them natural remedies, so Mazen warns him.
Shafiq works as a spiritualist and predicts the future and is hosted on TV. People flock to Nazira to solve their problems. Shafiq helps the police arrest some businessmen and return a golden statue to the museum.
The police thank Shafiq for his cooperation in delivering the golden statue and warn him against working in the field of spiritualism again. Shafiq works with a businessman, but he contributes to arresting the gang that works in drug smuggling and currency exchange.
Shafiq works as a photographer in the press, however, he fails to shoot a poetry festival. So, he is fired from the magazine and decides to retire from journalism.
Nazira hears Samira talking about her reading the cup and that Shafiq is in a relationship with another woman. Shafiq confesses that he is meeting his cousin Nawal regarding the inheritance of land, and then he discovers that it is the land on which the Cabinet headquarters is built
Nazira meets her cousin, the engineer Jihad, by chance. Shafiq works with him in a contracting company. Shafiq and Nazira compete to sell Jihad’s apartments to customers. It turns out that Jihad is a con artist, and the customers attack Shafiq and Nazira and beat them up.
Shafiq and Nazira work in a private investigation office and are assigned the task of searching for Tamim, who is absent from home. His wife calls the office to look for him, and it turns out that he is locked up by his mother.
A young man falls in love with Iman, Nazira's neighbor, and accidentally sends love letters to Nazira's house. However, Shafiq reads them and suspects his wife, and Iman and Nazira hit the infatuated young man.
News spreads about an earthquake and natural disasters, and the infatuated young man apologizes to Iman's husband for sending her love letters, wanting to atone for his sins. On the other hand, the government denies the news of the earthquake.
Lulu, the dog, chases Shafiq, and Haifa, Lulu's owner, senses his illness. She asks Shafiq to work as his companion and pays him everything he asks for, fearing for Lulu.
Nazira sees in a dream that her neighbor Samira's apartment is being robbed, and the dream comes true. Samira reports the theft of valuables, and Nazira only sees misfortunes in her dream.
John is commissioned by the United Nations to have Shafiq deliver a speech at the International Housing Conference. Shafiq talks about the famines, victims of wars, and incurable diseases.
Nazira tells Shafiq that she has become a football coach, but the team members are not satisfied with the appointment of a woman as their coach. Shafiq helps Nazira improve the team’s performance, but the team suffers a heavy loss, so the club fires Shafiq and Nazira.
Shafiq works in the theatre buffet, and lies to Nazira and claims that he is an actor in the play. The actor Hossam is late, so the director decides to give Shafiq the chance to play the lead role instead of him, but the producer pressures the director, so Hossam returns to his role.
As Shafiq is involved in an accident and is taken to the hospital, Nazira finds a funeral with his name on it, however, she is happy when it turns out that he is not dead. Shafiq stays with the driver to bury the body and discovers that the driver is the director Tarek, and the funeral events are made for a movie.
As Tarek introduces Shafiq to the actors, Shafiq works as a cameraman on a TV show. Suddenly, Nazira, Iman, and Samira enter the studio, the episode fails, and Tarek is taken to the hospital.
Abu Janet asks Shafiq and Nazira to search for his daughter Janet, the chemist. Then Abu Janet gives them money and tells them that he has found his daughter in France. However, the police arrest Abu Janet and tell them that he is part of a spy network that wants to kidnap the chemist.
Samira tells Nazira about her work as a babysitter for a fee, and Nazira asks to work with her and help her babysit the children, but she refuses.
The artist Jad quarrels with Nazira for ruining his painting, then gives her money because the price of the painting increased because of her. Shafiq paints and considers himself the new Picasso, and displays his paintings in a private gallery in the street.
Samira tells Nazira about her search for a bride for Samih, and Nazira decides to open an office to provide marriage services according to international standards. However, the marriages fail and the police arrest Shafiq and Nazira and take a pledge from them not to do it again.
After Shafiq and Nazira are released from prison, Jad gives them pictures of themselves with the word “ystflo” written on them and convinces them to buy a plot of land, but he defrauds them and their neighbors and takes their money.
Shafiq works as a driver for a politician named Karam, who works in the Supreme Council for Foreign Affairs. Karam asks Shafiq not to speak to the press, but Shafiq gives false statements to journalists, which leads to Karam being removed from his position and Shafiq being fired from his job.
Nazira reads in the newspaper a general invitation to participate in a demonstration, so she asks Samira and Iman to search for the largest number of people to participate. However, the police stand in front of them, and it becomes clear that the invitation to the demonstration is in Britain.
Shafiq and Nazira go on a trip with their neighbors and they discover an oil well. However, their neighbors learn about it, and everyone tries to share the oil well with the landowner, and disagreements arise.
During candidate Anwar Al Khatib’s speech, Shafiq talks about people’s problems and concerns, so people chant his name, and he collects many votes and becomes a member of parliament.
Shafiq agrees with the parliamentary candidates to achieve their personal interests, Nazira receives gifts, and a poor woman asks Shafiq for help to treat her blind son, so he decides to stay away from parties and gives a speech about caring about the people's interests.
