Taking place in the 1940s in the village of Barsoumi, whose hegemony is disputed by both France and England, which is followed by a conflict between its people due to ignorance and poverty. Some of them are with the French and others with the English. The occupation dismisses the mayor because he is an educated man trying to instill the spirit of resistance in the people of the village.
