Qasim works as an employee and lives with his family. He quarrels with his daughter Laila over her relationship with her colleague Ali, so the latter is forced to formally propose to marry her.

Ali Bey visits Laila's family and tricks them into thinking he is rich, and he collects money from its members under this pretense.

Laila's family is surprised that all the gifts that Ali left behind are just goods that he sells, so Qasim kicks him out of the house after he causes problems.

Qasim tries to get in touch with Ali, but the latter deceives him by claiming that he is the director of a company and lives in a hotel. Fikria asks her husband Shaker to inquire about Ali in the company, and he discovers that he is just a poor and indebted insurance representative.

Laila tells Ali that her family knows everything about him, so Ali asks Mumtaz to pay the money he owes, while Ali continues to deceive Laila and her family.

Ali seeks to contact Qasim and Laila to ask for another chance, and continues to deceive her brother by helping him enter the club and become a member, only for Laila to discover that he has not paid the debts of the inn where he is staying.

Ali is kicked out of the inn, and asks his friend Mumtaz to lend him money to pay the rent. Under Laila's pressure, her father agrees to her marriage to Ali.

Laila and Ali's engagement takes place, but the latter decides to travel to Canada. For this reason, he borrows sums of money from Shaker and convinces Laila to help him achieve this goal.

Ali and Laila get married, but Mumtaz delivers a shocking surprise to Ali, telling him that it is impossible for him to travel to Canada because he does not have the skills that qualify him for that.

Fikria tells Laila that Ali incited Shaker against her, and that he borrowed large sums of money from him. In the midst of this, Laila discovers that Ali lied about his claim that she was an interior designer.

Laila gets into a quarrel with Ali because of his constant lying and deceit, and at the same time Shaker decides to help his neighbor Sabreen with her lessons, and he begins to have romantic feelings for her.

Ali convinces Shaker to marry his neighbor, while Fikria discovers that Laila is threatened with eviction from the apartment for not paying the rent. In an attempt to overcome her crisis, Laila turns to Mumtaz and asks him to help her find work.

Laila receives her new job, but she is surprised to discover that Ali has impersonated Mumtaz. Later, Ali takes Mumtaz's car to work as a taxi driver, but fate intervenes and he is involved in an accident that completely destroys the car.

Ali causes Qasim to be transferred to Aswan, and in the meantime, Fikria tries to help Laila after discovering that she is pregnant. While she is preoccupied with the crises around her, Fikria discovers Shaker's hidden feelings towards their neighbor, Sabreen.

Shaker is forced to stay away from his neighbor, while Ali tries to mend his relationship with Laila. Meanwhile, Qasim returns to his previous work, and although Laila gives Ali a second chance, he does not stop deceiving her and constantly lying.
