In a game of mind and control in the future, death row convicts are forced to participate in a 'Doom'-type environment. Convict Kable, controlled by Simon, a skilled teenage player, has to survive 30 sessions in order to be free.

This title is a sci-fi thriller that was written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. The film stars Gerard Butler and Logan Lerman. The film is set in New York in the near future. Self-replicating nano machines have revolutionized the world of gaming. Thanks to the mind controlling nano machines gamers can now control real life persons. The most exciting new game in this genre is “Slayers” a bloody competition where gamers control death row prisoners in large scale death matches. Simon (Logan Lerman) is a teenage gamer that controls Kable (Gerard Butler) who is by far the most successful slayer. Kable is only three matches away from gaining a full pardon – but, will the reality of mind control and what that implies prove too much to bear?
