This picture is an American/Irish romantic comedy that was directed by Griffin Dune. The production stars Colin Firth, Umma Thurman and Jeffrey Dean among others. Interestingly, the film features a few Indian songs such as Punjabi Hit Squad’s “Kuriyeh”. Patrick Sullivan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is a New York firefighter whose life is about to change completely. He is the happy fiancé of Sophia (Justina Machado) and looks forward to their wedding. However, Sophia seeks the counsel of renowned love expert and radio host Dr. Emma Lloyd (Umma Thurman) who subsequently advises her to break off the engagement – which she does. Understandably, Patrick is upset and his annoyance is doubly so when he hears that Dr. Emma is about to be married herself. Thus, Patrick draws upon the help of his computer-whizz Indian friend who, through manipulating online records, registers Dr. Emma as married to Patrick. However, when Patrick finally confronts Dr. Emma, he realizes that he is attracted to her. On her side, Dr. Emma also begins to realize that she is attracted to Patrick’s charisma. Thus, the renowned love (guru) finds herself in somewhat of a predicament.
