This film was directed by Dennis Iliadis and it is a remake of the 1972 horror film of the same name. Emma (Monica Potter) and John (Tony Goldwyn), together with their daughter Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) head to the family lake house for a vacation. After they arrive, Mari takes the family car for a trip into town so that she could meet her friend Paige (Martha MacIsaac). Whilst spending time with her friend Paige, the pair are approached by Justin (Spencer Treat Clark) who invites them up to his hotel room to smoke some marijuana. As the three teenagers get settled in, Justin’s family arrive and it is revealed that they are a bunch of outlaws on the run from the police. So as not to jeapordize their chances of getting away, the outlaws kidnap Paige and Mari and take Mari’s car. Thereafter, there is an altercation in which Paige is killed and Mari is severely injured. The outlaws eventually seek refuge in Mari’s parent’s lake house. When Mari’s parents discover what they have done to their daughter, they decide to exact a brutal revenge on their unwitting guests.
