Emily Jenkins is a social worker who gets caught up in a dangerous situation after she saves a little girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that she's not as innocent as she appears.

This picture is a horror film directed by Christian Alvart. The film stars Renee Zellweger, Ian McShane and Jodelle Ferland. Emily Jenkins (Renee Zellweger) is a social worker assigned the case of Lillith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland). Emily suspects that Lillith is being abused by her parents and her instincts turn out to be correct when she discovers that Lillith’s parents had been planning to murder her in a particularly macabre fashion. As part of a special arrangement, Lillith is allowed to live with Emily. However soon after Lillith moves into Emily’s home very strange events begin to take place. Emily’s friend, Douglas J. Ames (Bradley Cooper) agrees to perform a psychiatric evaluation of Lillith and soon afterwards Ames dies. When Emily visits Lillith’s parents (who are now in a mental asylum) she begins to learn more about Lillith’s nature. Thereafter she learns that, rather than being a defenseless child, Lillith is in fact a demon that preys on fear. Thus, the question is: Can Emily find a way to stop Lillith in time to save herself from her demonic grasp?
