Detective Thomas Craven is investigating the murder of his activist daughter. He not only exposes sensitive aspects of her secret life, but also clashes with crime organizations that try to erase any thread that may link her to them.

This film is an adaptation of the BBC series of the same name. Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) experiences every father’s nightmare as he witnesses his daughter dying in his arms. At first he suspects that his assassins intended to kill him but shot his daughter instead by accident. Soon however, he discovers that his daughter was the intended target. Thus he begins a determined manhunt to avenge his daughter. However, what will he learn about life in the interim?
