Sameh is angered by the return of his brother Hashem, along with his son Yasser and daughter Hala, to their village after 20 years of exile. It becomes clear that Hashem had accidentally killed Abu Samir (Samir's father), and everyone fears that the feud between the two families will break out again.

Samir vows to avenge his father against Hashem, and his brother Suhail tries to prevent him from doing so. Sameh asks his sister Salma to convince Hashem to leave so that things do not get worse, and everyone talks about the cry they hear at night and do not know whose it is.

Suhail goes after his brother Samir to prevent him from killing Hashem. Abu Nabil seeks to calm the situation. Hakim advises Wajih to open a small office in his house to practice law. Hashem dies.

Abu Nabil tries to fix the situation between his mother and his wife, Ibtisam. Hala starts her job at the village pharmacy and meets her ex, Adnan.

Samir tells Suhail that he wants to ask Hashem's heirs to return his father's land to him, and Sameh is worried about Hala and Yasser's claim to their father's inheritance.

Hakim tells Wajih about his old love story with Salma. Abu Wajih becomes angry when he discovers that his son has taken some of the money he's saving. Maher presents his cousin Yasser with papers proving the payment of huge sums of money for his and Hala's education from the late Hashem's inheritance.

Khaldoun tells his mother of his love for Sameh's daughter, Mona, and his desire to marry her. Things get worse between Maher and his wife, and he divorces her after she threatens to expose his work with Abu Luay. Sameh asks his son to give his cousins their share in the land.

Hala is angered by Yasser’s desire to travel abroad to complete his studies. Maher places drugs in his ex-wife’s house and informs the police to take revenge on her. Hakim suggests to Sameh that he should have Asaad treated so that his psychological condition does not worsen.

Salma agrees to marry Hakim. Abu Nabil scolds Samir for wanting revenge on Yasser after Hashem's death. Salma scolds Hala for wanting to file a lawsuit against her uncle to divide the land.

Samir tells Abu Nabil that he beat Yasser. Abu Wajih illegally competes with Abu Nabil in the market, and Hala becomes angry when her uncle fails to hand over the land to her.

Yasser asks Wajih to prove his uncle's fraud in transferring ownership of the land to his son Maher. The latter's men burn Abu Nabil's bakery and the police investigate the incident.

Maher informs Abu Nabil that Khaldoun burned his bakery, and Sameh refuses to admit Asaad to a psychiatric hospital.

Yasser confesses his love to Nabila, and Sameh quarrels with his son Maher for inciting Khaldoun to burn Abu Nabil’s bakery. Sameh dies, and Salma and Hakim get married.

Maher's brother, Mazen, returns from abroad to take over the management of the land and his family's property. Abu Nabil opens his new bakery. Mazen believes that Khaldoun is after his sister Mona's money, so he refuses their marriage.
