Nick and Suzanne are newlyweds who live with their two children, Lindsey and Kevin. When Suzanne gets pregnant, they decide to move to the suburbs for a better life for their family. They are able to afford a house that needs a lot of fixing up, and when Nick finally caves in and calls a contractor, things somehow get worse.
