When a contagious virus is accidentally unleashed in the UK, it soon cripples the entire country as it turns people into thoughtless rage monsters. Twenty-eight days after the outbreak, a group of survivors fights for their lives and try to find a way out of the ravaged London.

A virus spreads through Great Britain, and the U.S. Army manages to protect the survivors in a small London area, so that they can reproduce and repopulate. Six months later, an affected individual unknowingly brings it back, resulting in deadly chaos all over again.
The events take place several years after 28 Weeks Later, when the disease reappears and infections increase rapidly, forcing a group of survivors to fight for survival and confront the army of infected.
