Thirty years earlier, Turud, the leader of the Tawarid tribe, finds two infants, Khalaf and Mahawish, and orders for the women to breastfeed and look after them. The two become milk-brothers to almost all of the tribe's girls, except for Wadha, and they both compete to win her love, among other things.
