Abdullah sends Kamel's paperwork to go study in Egypt. Afterwards, Hassan fights with Abdullah, who threatens to hurt him if he does not back away. Sabri threatens Abu Kamel (Kamel's father) that he will report his foul business at the mills to Subashi if his brother doesn't leave him alone.
Abdullah confronts his brother Abu Kamel for the first time of his business in the mills and tells him he has sent his son Kamel to study in Egypt.
Kamel bids his family farewell and goes to Egypt. Meanwhile, Mustafa tells his wife Fathia that he will bring her son Fawaz back to settle with her, which makes her happy.
Abdel Samad accuses his brother Abdullah that he is the reason why their brother Abu Kamel's business is being investigated. A group of masked men break into Abdullah's house and one of them kills him.
The commander and Subashi go pay their condolences to Abdullah's family, and the commander tells them that the governor had issued a statement to give Abdullah the title of "bey" hours prior to his death.
Qamar runs away from her brother Moustafa after expressing he suspects her behavior. Moustafa announces that he will not rest until he finds her and kills her.
Abdel Samad hints to Abu Kamel that he may be the reason behind Abdullah's murder because of his illegal work, which causes Abu Kamel to break down, swearing that he had nothing to do with his brother's murder.
Abdel Samad asks Mustafa about Qamar and her son Sharif, and warns him if he turns out to be the reason why they disappeared. He later tells sheikh Abdel Wahed that he will look everywhere for his sister-in-law and nephew.
Mustafa announces that he killed Qamar and gets arrested. Meanwhile, Qamar is alive and working at a rich man's mansion so she can support herself and her son.
The new sheriff issues a search warrant of all the houses in the neighborhood for Sharif, Abdullah's son, as per the commander's orders.
Years pass and we find Sharif working for the governor. His mother, Qamar, tells him she wants to return to Qaymariyya.
Qamar asks a young man who works for her to find out the current owner of her old house at Qaymariyya and find out about her brothers Mustafa and Reda.
Qamar buys her old house at Qaymariyya and her and Sharif move in to it. Sharif meets his cousin Kamel for the first time, but the two do not know each other.
Sharif meets his paternal uncle Abdel Samad and his maternal uncle Reda for the first time in his late father's house, while Qamar remains quite as to not reveal the truth.
Sharif pleads with the governor to release his uncle Abu Kamel and the other townspeople. The neighborhood is overjoyed with this decision and thank Sharif.
Abu Kamel decides to gather some people from the neighborhood and go to Sharif's house to thank him. Qamar learns that her brother Mustafa is still alive.
Qamar tells her son Sharif the story of his father, family, and the people of the neighborhood, and tells him that they love and admire him just like they did his father.
Qamar confides in Said that she is his aunt and tells him the whole story, asking him to keep it a secret. She also tells Sharif not to tell anybody from the family the truth.
Qamar tells Kamel that his cousin Sharif is still alive, and removes her burqa to reveal she is his late uncle's wife and that the man with her is his cousin.
Qamar asks for Warda's hand in marriage for her son Sharif. Meanwhile, Reda discovers his sister is alive and she embraces both him and her other brother Mustafa.
Sharif takes revenge against Sabri Bey for the death of his father. He reveals his identity to his uncle and the rest of the neighborhood and marries his cousin, Warda.
