The lazy cat Garfield is annoyed when his owner, Jon, gets a new dog in order to impress his old high school crush Liz. When the dog, Odie, is locked outside one day by Garfield, he runs away and is subsequently kidnapped. It's up to Garfield and his animal friends to rescue him.
When Jon and Garfield visit the United Kingdom, Garfield finds himself becoming the ruler of a castle after being mistaken for a cat named Prince that looks just like him.
