It seems like Drew is losing everything: his job, his career and his girlfriend at the same time. He decides to take his own life, but postpones his suicide when he learns about his father's death. He is then required to go to Elizabethtown to get his father's body, and over there he finds himself surrounded by memories. His life begins to change, specially when he meets fun-loving Claire.
