Zalem ibn Murra finds his mother Hend weeping because his father chose his handmaid Souad over her, and did not kill his daughter from Souad, Rayhana, as he did his previous daughters from other handmaids. The father is killed and Zalem searches for Souad and her daughter to kill them.
Al Aas ibn Wael asks his friend Abu Taleb ibn Abd Al Muttaleb why he brought Mohammad (PBUH) on his trip, to which Abu Taleb replies that he carries an abundance of love in his heart for his nephew Mohammad.
Zalem searches for Souad and Rayhana everywhere, wanting to sell them as slaves. Hend asks her son to avenge his father and he tells her he plans to do it but that the time has not come yet.
Commander Phocas sends to the Byzantine emperor, asking for help to win his upcoming battle. However, the emperor refuses to help and tells the messenger to get back to his commander and deliver his answer.
Abu Lahab tells Umm Jamil that he delegated Abu Sufyan to run the business just because he's her brother. He also tells her about his nephew Mohammad's honesty, and how this got Khadija bint Khuwaylid to trust him with her money.
The Byzantine emperor refuses to attack the Persians, believing that will cause them to unite their forces so they should postpone their attack. Meanwhile, Umm Jamil incites Abu Lahab against Mohammad (PBUH) and tells him that news of his good reputation has been spreading.
Abu Taleb asks for Khadija bint Khuwaylid's hand in marriage for Mohammad (PBUH) from her father and uncle. They accept and welcome the proposal and tell him it would be an honor for their daughter to marry him.
Rayhana asks Maysara's friend why he came to tell her that Mohammad (PBUH) is at the Cave of Hira worshiping God according to the faith of his ancestor Ibrahim (PBUH). Meanwhile, Commander Phocas sends to the Byzantine emperor asking for help again.
High commander Phocas commands his forces to go to the Byzantine emperor Maurice II's palace, dethrone, arrest, and kill him.
Everyone gathers around the Kaaba and is terrified to see a snake coming out of it, after which a bird comes, grabs the snake, and flies away. They then decide to tear it down and rebuild it.
Byzantine chamberlain warns Phocas, now emperor, about the upcoming attacks from Persians and other tribes towards them, and tells him that the empire's treasury cannot handle more battles.
Commander Heraclius tells his son that the Byzantine empire is collapsing after Commander Phocas became ruler due to his strange policies, to which he replies that it's an opportunity to attack him and take the throne away from him.
Heraclius the son takes over the throne and vows to return Constantinople to its former glory. Meanwhile, Abu Lahab tells Umm Jamil that Mohammad (PBUH) claims he is a messenger from God and has recited words that he has called the Qur'an.
The men of Quraysh gather and talk about the message of Mohammad (PBUH) when Umayya ibn Khalaf suddenly storms their gathering and claims that evil has taken over their senses.
The people of Quraysh gather and discuss Mohammad's (PBUH) message and Abu al-Walid tells them to go to Abu Taleb and ask him to take his son Omara and do whatever he pleases with him in return for giving them Mohammad (PBUH) to kill him but he refuses.
Jabr goes to Persian lands and calls the people to join Islam, he talks to them about the prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his message from God.
The elders of Quraysh send precious gifts to Najashi, the king of Aksum, to bribe him into joining them against the prophet Mohammad (PBUH). However, he refuses their gifts and returns them.
Umm Jamil incites Abu Lahab against his nephew Mohammad (PBUH), but he tells her to wait. The elders of Quraysh gather and plan to kill the prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Two men plot to kill Zalem ibn Murra and Rayhana overhears them. Rayhana warns her half-brother. but the arrow manages to penetrate Zalem's body and he falls to the ground; however, his half-sister saves him.
The elders of Quraysh gather and formulate an evil plan. However, they're interrupted by Abu Talib who tells them that what they're doing is wrong, but they ignore him.
Zalem ibn Murra finds Rayhana crying over Abu Talib's death. Afterwards, Abu Lahab cuts ties with Mohammad (PBUH) and the prophet's wife Khadija dies. The year is dubbed the "Year of Sorrow".
Zalem ibn Murra listens to the talk of the elders of Quraysh about Mohammad (PBUH), and he tells them he'll pack and leave to warn his people against Mohammad and the power of his message.
The leaders of Quraysh plan to put an end to Mohammad (PBUH) and his message, and Abu Lahab tells them not to listen to his nephew, announcing that he's his uncle.
Amr ibn Hisham suggests that they kill Mohammad (PBUH), as it's the only way to stop his message, an idea which Abu Lahab rejects, stating that there is still the Banu Hashim clan, despite Abu Talib's death, and that they will defend Mohammad.
Jabr finds Souad on his way and thinks she's Rayhana, only for her to tell him she's Rayhana's mother. She's overjoyed to learn her daughter is still alive in Makkah.
Abd Allah ibn Ubayy agrees with the leaders of Quraysh he will join Islam as a double agent and as a means of reaching Mohammad (PBUH) to be able to attack him.
The first face-off begins between Mohammad (PBUH) and the people of Quraysh in the Battle of Badr, which ends with the triumph of the Muslims and the death of the leader of the Quraysh army Amr ibn Hisham.
The Jewish rabbis gather and are furious after learning of the Muslims' triumph at the Battle of Badr, and decide to pit the tribes against the prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Abu Lahab is injured and tells Umm Jamil Quraysh's leaders were killed.
Zalem ibn Murra stands in front of the cult image and talks to it out loud in public, saying "If you really were a god, you wouldn't have been defeated." but his friend warns him of speaking boldly in public.
The pagans are overjoyed after learning that Abd Allah ibn Ubayy betrayed Mohammad (PBUH) during the Battle of Uhud and withdrew with 300 soldiers, claiming that the prophet had ignored his advice.
The Quraysh army plans on battling the Muslims once again after Uhud, and this time, the Muslims are prepared to meet the pagans led by Abu Sufyan. The Muslims win the battle later called the Invasion of Sawiq.
The pagans gather to guess what the prophet (PBUH) may be plotting after they learn he ordered the digging of a trench. The reason is that the Jews of Banu Nadir broke their promise to the prophet (PBUH) and tried to kill him, so his army besieged them until they surrendered.
Abd Allah ibn Ubayy gathers with the pagans and plots to put an end to the prophet Mohammad (PBUH), trying to unite them all for one cause.
Emperor Heraclius meets with his men and tells them he has decided to gather as many men as possible and train them for battle. He also tells them to take it as seriously as possible.
Emperor Heraclius tells his regent to send him a man from Mohammad's (PBUH) country to ask about him, and his regent sends him Abu Sufyan who vouches for Mohammad's honesty and morals.
Jabr reunites Souad and Rayhana for the first time in years. Mohammad (PBUH) sends a message to Heraclius inviting him to join Islam.
Zalem ibn Murra is happy to hear that King Ghassan has ordered the killing of the prophet's (PBUH) messenger. The emperor then angrily reprimands Ghassan and tells him Mohammad (PBUH) will attack him at any given moment.
Heraclius calls in King Ghassan and tells him what he warned him of has happened, as the prophet Mohammad (PBUH) has ordered the invasion of Ghassan's land after the latter killed his messenger. The emperor orders that 100,000 more soldiers be added to the army.
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) wins the Battle of Hunayn, which took place on 13 Shawal 8 AH in the valley of Hunayn between Makkah and Taif, triumphing against the clans of Hawazin and Thaqif.
The emperor asks his regent to send him an Arabic man to inquire from him about the Muslims' preparations for the Expedition of Tabuk, and about the prophet (PBUH), of whom the man speaks greatly. So the emperor asks himself "How foolish am I to battle such a great man?"
