In 2035 (James Cole) one of the prisoners convicted for life imprisonment is offered a deal under which he gets his freedom in return for traveling in a time machine to the past, to know the secret of the virus that infected 5 billion people, and took their lives. He meets scientist (Catherine Riley), and the son of a dysfunctional virologist, who try to help him get the job done.
